Searching for my Spark...

I joined SparkPeople in July 2008 and was really successful...for a while. I can make every excuse in the book as to why I've gained back every ounce (and then some) of the original 41 pounds I was able to lose after joining this site, but they are just that. Excuses. Now it's time to stop with the excuses and just start making changes. Starting today, I am determined to find that spark I lost somewhere along the way.

My Goals:
Take things one day at a time and not get discouraged when I have a bad day.

Drink at least 8 glasses of water every day.

Pack my lunches instead of buying them.

My Program:
I am tracking my food intake every day - and trying to track it after each meal. I'm making sure to get AT LEAST 8 glasses of water every day, and am trying to swim or do water aerobics every day after work.

Personal Information:
I was born and raised on a ranch in SE Oregon, lived on the rainy side of the state for 4 years during college, then graduated and moved to SW Idaho where I lived until I moved to Tri-Cities, WA in 2000. Been here ever since. I have a wonderful husband, who does his best to support me in my journey. We have a daughter and son together, and his daughter, who we have every other weekend. Want to know anything else? Just ask. :)

BEAUTIFUL WOMAN AWARD emoticon

Hi! Just a shout out to congratulate you!

You are the recipient of the Beautiful Woman Award!!

"Once you've been given this award, you have to paste it on the page of 8 women who deserve it. If you receive more than 3, you know you're really beautiful! If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it's always good to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out!"

Again, Congratulations Beautiful!

Thanks for spreading a little beauty, love, friendship, and support into my life! emoticon
Have a great weekend!

Hey Stranger,

I have been popping in and out and I am trying very hard to get back with the program. Last year was a rough one, I had hernia surgery last February and then in September they found a lump with my annual mammogram which turned out to be a benign tumor. It was an emotional roller coaster to say the least. So far this year I have managed to paint the family room and par down the furniture and the rearranged the gym portion of the room to be "toy" free - so far it is working and I am able to get to my exercise equipment. I am so looking forward to the weather warming up.

So here is to both of us getting back on track! emoticon

Why hello, hello! Thanks for the nice compliments :-) Married life is good. I haven't been on here much lately, either. I never completely leave, just run out of time and forget to keep up. Hope you are doing well.

Thanks for commenting on my status. How are you doing anyway, I love the background photo on your page, that is home and I do miss home.
It is so rainy here, green all year but you pay for that with the rainy days like today it has rained all day long.
How are the kids and your new home, are you still loving having your own place. Kids must love having their own yard. How is the garden area?
I have roadies and crocus blooming and tulips coming up everywhere. At home there the daffodils are in bloom Hubby tells me and things are greening up, he is working in Richland and living at home right now and I am over here and he comes home every other weekend. We make it work.
How are you doing? Sandy
