2018 PEACE - I love a cup of hot tea every day!!! and use hot drinks to calm me, bring peace and strength. I am a Wife, Momma, prayer warrior and 69 years old with at least 50 more pounds to lose ...Half our county calls me "Miss Linda" from my nursing and daycare work retiring in 2011...Happily married for 39+ years...Have a beautiful 37 yr old daughter nd after a long trip 3/24/18 I have reconnected to 38year old son...Time to get healthier. I'm wanting to be a good example for famiy as well as healthy for life.
Intro to Sparks in 11/09; Health efforts escalated following two heart stentss on May 23rd, 2014. Then 5/15 I was diagnosed with severe spinal stenosis and peripheral neuropathy and told to prepare for life in wheel chair. Dec 1 2015 I had 8.5 hr spinal and back reconstruction and have probably regained all the mobility that I can but will fight to maintaintain it and possibly improve it further with weight loss. I am so thankful I am not in a wheelchair yet and not wearing diapers as first doctor predicted. I met my goal of walking a 5K with two canes 6/18/16. Then began an all out effort to lose weight and maintain my level of mobility.
All that surgery and stress and aging resulted in some memory loss and slower thinking and speech. Last change in medical Dx was Oct 2017 told blood sugar #s define me as Pre-Diabetic

**Maintain a gluten-free, anti-inflammatory, heart-healthy diet/lifestyle
**Oct 2017 Dx of pre-diabetic and added LOW CARB to the dietary efforts and learn intermittent Fasting
**Lose weight for health and mobility regardless of level of neuropathy
**Learn to manage fibromyalgia and arthritis for less pain and more health
**Ticker set to wt loss on home scales [Dr. Scales read 3#s lighter than home scales] starting Jan1 2018

My Program:
Accountable for
* calories, carbs, %s from pie chart of macros on daily tracking of foods - No counting on Sundays
* Every-Other-Day [M-W-F 600/1200 S-T-Th-S] way of eating and learn intermittent fasting, Gluten free for celiac, LOW Carb to avoid full blown diabetes and Anti-Inflammatory for heart health:
* amount of liquids ...up to 1/2 body wt. # of oz. of water ***but daily wt for CongestiveHeartFailure
* weight loss and getting refined sugar and processed foods out of my life
* steps taken or distance walked per pedometer

Personal Information:
*Live in Washington state
* Helpmate to DH in his Truck-Garden and Farmer's Markets x3 per wk. from June thru September
*Two heart stents. *Back/Spinal surgery 12/15 Woke to no feeling or movement in R leg and little in L leg
* 6 months to the day from leaving the hospital walked Therapeutic 5K with two canes June 18, 2016
*Dx of pre-diabetic - so MUST get the carbs lowered and weight OFF

I Love Jesus & His Word - Raised from birth in strong Christian faith accepting Christ as PERSONAL Saviour in Junior Hi and living my life for Him - I am a child of the King!!!
I enjoy the color and flower of violet/purple. I love Christmas ALL year long in every way all day long!

    My thoughts for the day. Proverbs 15:15, " All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast. Since I wanted to increase my merry heart I wrote a poem.

    emoticon Sweetie, hope your hav'n a super, stupendous Saturday. I am, since I've said sayonara to senseless snacking on mental "slop" and instead serving myself satisfying, scrumptious, sweet, soul filling "salences" to support my fattening soul and skinnier silhouette. So there!

    Friday's fun and not so fun facts: I finally, once and for all, figured it out and face it! Food "fixes" do not fix faulty funky feelings of faultfinding. It took me forever to face that. Go figure?
