67 years old and at least 58 more pounds to lose ...Half our county calls me "Miss Linda" from my nursing and daycare work for 26 years retiring in 2011...Happily married for 38+ years...Have a beautiful 35 yr old daughter...Time to get healthier I'm wanting to be a good example for her as well as healthy for life.
Intro to Sparks in 11/09; Health efforts escalated following two heart stentss on May 23rd, 2014. Then 5/15 I was diagnosed with severe spinal stenosis and peripheral neuropathy and told to prepare for life in wheel chair. Dec 1 2015 I had 8.5 hour spinal surgery but am gradually coming back in strength, mobility and mental abilities ...will see how far this improves but am so thankful I am not in a wheelchair yet and not wearing diapers. Most of my efforts were in strength, endurance and mobility areas until I met my goal of walking a 5K with two canes 6/18/16. Then began an all out effort to lose weight and maintain this level of mobility.
With my return to Sparks I am decreasing # of teams and will also decrease some friends due to memory loss and trying to not overload the mental aspects of my day. Periodic challenges are good for my learning curves and finally beginning to see some success.

Hi Linda, you will love THM once you get the is so easy after awhile it becomes second one word of advice if you take anything away from me is "please do NOT think or treat as a diet" as truly this is not a diet but a lifestyle change.

I'm not 100% perfect, I eat on plan 98% of the parties I might have a hot dog on the dreaded white roll..but I always always find this lifestyle to just eat right at the next meal.

This plan is truly geared to help us older women that have trouble losing. It works, it really does.

Thank you Linda for the SPARK Goodie, very thoughtful of you. I really enjoyed reading about you, your Christian proclamation, family and you love the color purple.

God continue to richly bless you and much success on losing weight

Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end.
