HI Lins! So good to hear from you! How wonderful that you got to go to Maui! I've never been to Hawaii, but I've heard its spectacular.
Yes, I know how annoying it is to watch others who are only doing a few new things while your diet and exercise is model perfect.
Just yesterday I was at Zumba talking to one of my friends who was describing her "restrictive" cleanse diet and realized that with the exception of dairy, that's how I eat pretty much all the time. lol
Frankly I have contented myself with being in the upper 140s, low 150s. I actually look good at this weight, now that my belly is gone. You won't be seeing me in a bathing suit anytime soon though. When I go to the beach I wear a "wetsuit" which is leggings and a zip up long sleeve turtleneck top both in black. ha
Have a fun day! Kinda unexpectedly chilly here today... looks like we may have rain and being from Texas you will get no complaints from me here! ha : ) Mzzchief 868 days ago
I often wonder whether the Thalassemia is to blame for my weight problems. All I know is that as I have gotten older, it is so much harder. Are you taking any iron? I don't. I have added you as a friend. I hope that Spring has arrived in Seattle. I was in Bremerton a few years ago and loved it. Have a good April. 880 days ago
HI Lins! Funny I was thinking of you and wondering how you were doing with the Thalassemia weight loss, thyroid, all the multiple sadnesses that come with these conditions!
My desktop computer is highly unstable so I've been using a netbook and having a lot of problems with it. Which took me a while to fix... first I ordered more memory, then I got a mouse from Amazon that took almost 2 weeks to get here! ha WAs NOT happy about it, the touchpad on this netbook is wack!
I've been working on a big project in the Park behind my house... I live off a wooded green belt/creek... the water level in the creek has risen and that combined with drought has played havoc on the trees there... briar, honeysuckle and poison ivy have grown like crazy all over the trees smothering them. So I've been spending my time ripping said vines out of the trees and off the bushes, pruning young trees removing dead branches from them. A bif job I've gone thru 3 pair of leather gloves! Great though for my arms, core and scoliosis!
I'm done with that for this season, the poison ivy came out of dormancy last Thursday. Now I'm trynig to catch up on my gardening, art and house painting.. Spark, gym and friends. Going pretty much nonstop from the moment I wake to the minute I get to sleep!
So I've not been on Spark as much as in the past the netbook is completely workable but its screen is so small... hurts my eyes.
Anyways enuf about me! What are you up to, how are you feeling, has Spring arrived where you are yet?
Hey... I didn't realize you live in Seattle as well! When I am taking care of my mom I live in the Auburn area... but grew up here. We might be different in ages but... maybe we can chat a bit and see if we might want to do things together? It's up to you... By the way, we are both on the Thyroid team. Have an awesome week. 1189 days ago
