Little by little I am trying to make changes and healthier choices to finally get all this extra weight off. I have been overweight for almost all my adult life. Too many years as a single parent and working in an office all day long, putting others first and hardly getting any exercise, and not always the best food choices. I am down a size from what I was several months ago, but turned to this site for help as I was on a plateau for quite some time. The weight is very slowly coming off going ...
The weight is very slowly coming off going thru menopause. Hoping to get some support, inspiration and great tips on what works so I can make headway and really start losing....

Lisa thanks for your comment to my blog about surviving my colonoscopy and the prep. My mom died of melanoma, so I see a dermatologist regularly. My dad died of metastatised prostate cancer-it went to his bones. My sister died of a brain tumor, needless to say I watch my body for signs and try to take care. I lost one of my dear friends to ovarian cancer and three to breast cancer and I have a niece (32) who is a breast cancer survivor.
I've had no gastro-issues so I was not enthused. I think more people would opt for the tests if they weren't gross, painful, or so expensive.
God grant us the wisdom to do what we need to do and not live in fear of what we cannot change.
