Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
I am type one diabetic, have three kids, and I believe I have a borderline eating disorder, which I struggle with, but I can usually overcome it with focus. I am a compulsive eater, and am always thinking about food. This makes handling my diabetes even trickier, but I don't let it beat me.
My goals are simple...
I want to be healthy and I will try my hardest to stay that way for as long as I can.
I want to be a good influence on my kids. I want to show them what good food and getting active can do for you.
I want to control my diabetes, not have it control me!
I am just counting calories, but trying to eat healthier all round, less junk and rubbish, and I am getting in as much exercise as I can fit in!
I have no particular ''programme'', I just am working to my own energy and motivation levels, doing the best I can every day.
I'm almost 42, and have struggled with my weight since becoming type one diabetic at 15 (crappy age to get it, but then again, there isn't a nice age to get it right?)
The only things I care about are my three boys, my boyfriend (I have two failed marriages behind me...I'm forever the optimist!), my health and trying to live as settled and as easily as I can manage, my friends and my home. I finally feel able to take a hold of my body issues, and am working with my personal issues to get myself happy, healthy and with a decent body shape (NEVER ever skinny)
I love watching a good film, films are my ''thing'', although I don't get much time to watch them! I also love to read, at the moment I am just finishing ''Slim For Life'' by Jillian Michaels. I love that woman!
My favourite author is Stephen King, although I haven't read any of his books for quite a few years, but I have quite a good collection of his older stuff. From reading 'Salems Lot at about the age of 15, I was hooked, and read as many as I could get my hands on!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by. Tried sending you a wordy spark mail, but system was not responding, so here is the abstract. Triumphs: Stayed within calories, worked out as planned. Hiccups: 2 months in after rejoining SP I have *gained* 3 cm on my waist, and not lost one anywhere. And I discovered I am allergic to milk. New plan; adjust and not give up.
Summer is here!
