HOPING FOR HEALTH

Hi my name is Pat, I am 66 and recently retired. I need to lose 100 lbs. I am not a physically active person. My goal is to get healthy and lose enough weight that I can do the tings I want to.I know this will be a long journey but I am motivated and determined. I recently purchased SP Activity tracker. Seems to be improving my motivation. Need That!

I WOULD LIKE TO LOSE WEIGHT,BE HEALTHY AND ENJOY LIFE AGAIN. I ENJOY THE OUTDOORS, THE WOODS AND THE OCEAN. I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO REALLY GET OUT AND ENJOY THEM IN A LONG TIME.

I have been on this journey since Sept. 2012. Lost motivation and drive. I am back and remain dedicated to my goals. I will track my nutrition and fitness.daily.

I live in a small East Texas community. Have family close by. I have 2 dogs and a cat. I used to live in California.

I AM ACTIVE IN THE LADIES AUXILIARY TO THE VETERANS OF FOREIN WARS.I AM VERY PROUD OF OUR VETERANS. IAM ACTIVE IN TRYING TO PROTECT THEIRBENEFITS, ESPECIALLY OUR AGED RETIREES.I LOVE TO READ, SCIENCE FICTION,CHRISTIAN ROMANCE AND HISTORIC NOVELS. I ALSO ENJOY PHOTOGRAPHY.

I wish I could remember that the kitchen light does not work. I always flip the switch and then realize that it won't come on.

There are things we could do to save money. My husband wants his stuff fixed as soon as it breaks and pulls money we have saved out of the bank. I would rather save the money at home and then pay cash for the repairs. We have nothing saved for retirement or long-term care.

Thanks Pat, We all mess up. I got the idea of daily accountability from other friends here that I've seen it working well for . I didn't want to blog every day about it or necessarily have my daily ups and downs out there to the whole community. So I chose a brief report on my status daily; visible to my friends and less time consuming. It doesn't have to be everything you do; keep it simple if you choose to do it. I only really committed to posting my total calorie count for each day; but I ended up including my fitness minutes and/or steps too. Sometimes my weigh in results on Wed. or other comments. But calories in are my biggest challenge. Figure out what yours is and go for it! Nothing like a little poke from your friends to help. Smiles, Joy
