HOPING FOR HEALTH

Hi my name is Pat, I am 66 and recently retired. I need to lose 100 lbs. I am not a physically active person. My goal is to get healthy and lose enough weight that I can do the tings I want to.I know this will be a long journey but I am motivated and determined. I recently purchased SP Activity tracker. Seems to be improving my motivation. Need That!

My Goals:

I have been on this journey since Sept. 2012. Lost motivation and drive. I am back and remain dedicated to my goals. I will track my nutrition and fitness.daily.

I live in a small East Texas community. Have family close by. I have 2 dogs and a cat. I used to live in California.

I AM ACTIVE IN THE LADIES AUXILIARY TO THE VETERANS OF FOREIN WARS.I AM VERY PROUD OF OUR VETERANS. IAM ACTIVE IN TRYING TO PROTECT THEIRBENEFITS, ESPECIALLY OUR AGED RETIREES.I LOVE TO READ, SCIENCE FICTION,CHRISTIAN ROMANCE AND HISTORIC NOVELS. I ALSO ENJOY PHOTOGRAPHY.

Everyone has to do what works for them ... I was told to build endurance by starting out slow and steady. I walked ten minutes at 1.2 miles and hour and built up from there. Every other week I up the time or the speed. I am now walking 35 minutes at 2 miles and hour ... 10 minutes is warm up and cool down 5/5.

Thanks for your encouragement to stop working and enjoy my family. As it is, my son and his wife are occupied with others, and my two step-sons don't choose to visit very often, even when invited. We have no other family in town. As it is, we appreciate having the uninterrupted time to work. We tend to be loners anyway. I hope you enjoy your holiday weekend with friends and family. Thanks Pat! The taller foliage is from my spring bulbs, now done blooming and irises which are setting bulbs now. The floral carpet is creeping phlox! I have this garden in almost constant bloom and all I have to add are a few annuals to carry over our hot summers. This year I think it will be moss roses. I love spring! :)
