Hi again! Good to see your comment on my SPage :) you asked how I balance it all and to be honest, I don't always but I've learned to do the best I can, working around whatever is taking priority on any given day. In addition to working full time (+ some, I work as a trainer on the side by appt), I'm overseeing the care of my aging Mother & my handicapped brother who lives with her. And we're very involved in the lives of our children who are all grown & live on their own. One of the first things I do each day is determine ahead of time what time of day I'll get in my workout... might be early morning, might be noon, might be after work but I decide on when and I do it... that's the only way I can stay healthy enough to be the Mom, GrandMom, Wife & Daughter I need to be :) I guess you'd say "flexibility" is my new normal at this stage of my life!

Hope that helps. As for regaining your balance physically, I'm not an expert on it but I do work with some elderly clients in that regard and I highly recommend you ask your Doc for a referral to a Physical Therapist to get some ideas on how to gradually improve your proprioception (kind of a brain to the body reconnect). You may simply need a refresher in training your subconscious to know where your body is in space at any given time with every movement. A therapist can explain it better & provide you with specific balance exercises that will help you with this. I occasionally add balance training to my own workouts.... it's very valuable for all of us!!

Take care and I wish you the best as you recover! Never give in & keep moving forward.. sometimes you'll move slowly but stay at it and you WILL reach your goals!!
