Biggest Loser-Black Panthers-Shape Up For Spring Challenge 2016 is MY time to get back on track!

I'm 34 years old. I have 3 children: 1 son in middle school, 1 son in elementary school and a pre-K aged daughter whom I'm home-schooling. I'm happily married to a wonderful man (abiggidy) who is also eating healthy and getting fit. I've lost 110 lbs so far and have about 50 more lbs to go and then want to maintain while still getting rid of body fat and gaining muscle. I've already overcome depression/bipolar! I aim to be a healthier me...choose better foods, get more fitness...don't go back to my old ways!

2012: Lost 40 lbs
2013: Lost 51 lbs
2014: Lost 23 lbs
2015: Gained 8 lbs.
2016: HOPE TO REACH GOAL!!!

My Program:
Get at least an hour of fitness per day.

Make healthier choices as to what I eat and drink, and make sure I eat the right portion sizes.

As I lose more weight, I will add more strengthening/toning exercises. Also, I'll try adding more fitness videos from sparkpeople.com.

I live in Michigan. I have a page on Facebook called: Baby Steps to a Brand New Me. I have a blog by the same title, but barely update therefore I created the FB page. Other Information:
I love praise and worship music. I only listen to any kind of Christian music. I read Christian books. I read Christian based self help books, especially Joyce Meyer and Max Lucado books. I love Christian romance books. Love Inspired books are my favorite because they are really easy to read and I can read one and a half a day if I'm not doing anything that day. Not that I've read that much lately...

Hi emoticon ,
How are you today? Are you getting out and about? Remember to balance out those carbs and proteins, so you will have enough energy to last through out the day.

Also, I don't want you to rely on the scale so much. Remember just because the numbers may not be moving, it doesn't necessarily mean you are not getting fit. Perhaps you are losing inches around your arms, thighs even in your hips and tummy.

It is important to take these measurements as well. I know when I was toning up. This is where I noticed the most difference at first. Because muscle weighs more than fat. But it looks so much better on us, because it's lean and firmer than fat.

So keep that chin up. Follow your plan and just look over the points I post, we all can use a review once in awhile. Keep up your journal so you can refer back to it, it is one of your most valuable tools.

Just saw your comment to my blog post a couple days ago. From my two previous experiences, I seem to have a lot of trouble between 193-197 pounds. (you are taller than than me so add about 15 pounds to that range!).

But thank God you are smarter than me and keep fighting rather than giving up! I still have about 4-5 months until I get to that range, but I am counting on you to give me strength then, because I want to bust past that. The Last time that I weighed less than 193 was more than 20 years ago! I'm really looking forward to breaking that barrier! emoticon
