Starting Again
OK, so, I was here before, and lost about 70 pounds, but then I had to go get involved with a man who didn't love me back, which threw me into a great big stinking depression, and I stopped working out, and gained 40 back. @$%!! I'm determined to fight back to where I was, and then hopefully another 20 or 30 after that, so that I'm at a healthy weight (and maybe even look good naked!). I've just graduated college, and am about to move to a place where my only means of transportation will be ...
OK, so, I was here before, and lost about 70 pounds, but then I had to go get involved with a man who didn't love me back, which threw me into a great big stinking depression, and I stopped working out, and gained 40 back. @$%!! I'm determined to fight back to where I was, and then hopefully another 20 or 30 after that, so that I'm at a healthy weight (and maybe even look good naked!). I've just graduated college, and am about to move to a place where my only means of transportation will be bike, so hopefully that will help, but I'm also going to start working out again in earnest, in hopes of making the changes stick this time. It's very hard not to get discouraged when your body doesn't seem to want to be thin. I'm an artist (i'm a printmaker, and I love high modernist painting in particular, but also art of all kinds) and hoping to somehow make a career for myself in the arts. And I would like to fall in love with someone who loved me back. If I could have those 3 things (a healthy body, someone who loved me, and a career where I could make art easily) I think I would be happy. Here's for starting again, and hoping I don't screw up again!

My Goals:
I'm looking to lose 50 pounds initially (hopefully closer to 70 in the long run), be an artist, and fall in love.
My Program:
Mostly, exercise, but I'm also going to focus on eating a ton of veggies, because they are delicious and nutritious. I am however convinced, that for me at least, exercising is way more key to losing weight than my diet, and I'm not going to completely exclude anything I like to eat, and instead just try to make my life as active as possible.
Personal Information:
I'm really into art - making it, looking at, talking about it. I'm a printmaker at the moment, and am looking to get into grad school in a few years. I also love sunshine, kittens, and television, particularly buffy, west wing, anything PBS or NPR (yes, it's radio but still) and recently pushing daisies. I also love books, especially 19th century British lit, and trashy trashy romance novels. Also music of all kinds, especially opera, jazz, classic rock, and indie rock (although i don't know nearly enough about any of these things to be snobbish)
