On my way to healthy

Hi, my name is Liz and I am working my way back to a healthy way of life. Having been overweight all of my adult life, I have decided that the now or never time has come. I am striving to be a better me in all ways and have fun in the process.

Update 1/3/14: This past 6 1/2 months have been very rewarding for me. While following theSpark People principles of exercise & portion control, I've been able to drop 61 pounds from my body in a healthy way.

I am a reformed couch potato so if you think you can't do it, think again! If I was able to do it, make healthy food choices and exercise regularly, anyone can!

Don't ever give up on yourself. You are so worth the effort!

My Goals:
My goal is to get moving again. Last year I tore 2 tendons in my foot which led to surgery in June 2015. A long recovery led me to much inactivity. While I still have to be careful, it's time for me to move again!

My Program:
I am learning that I like/love exercise along with counting calories and using portion control.

Personal Information:
i'm approaching the BIG
6-0 this summer. A good time to reevaluate where I am in my life.

Other Information:
i am a huge dog lover. My last fur baby passed about 2 1/2 years ago and there has been an empty space in my heart since then. My hubby & myself are avid campers, enjoying the great outdoors. I love to read... Pretty much anything I get my hands on.
