I'm writing to you the same thing I wrote to someone else. You can do it.
Thanks for commenting on my Blog about water. I understand your feelings on the water intake. I never drank water before I came to SP. I drank all kinds of things, but not water. So when I had to quit soda pops, I had to drink water. I started out about how you are doing, 3-4 cups a day, max. I had to force myself to drink that. But when I learned that I should be drinking 8 cups a day, I had to figure a way to get there. My goal? 8 cups a day! I set out 4 - 2cup bottles a day, marked them 1 through 4 and started drinking. It took a long time to get to 8 and by the time I got there, I had read several articles and seen a documentary about drinking 10 cups a day. So I decided to go for it. I made it after several months of working on it. As stated in my blog, I'm back to going for 10.
Try it with ice, try it with a straw, try it 1 cup at a time. Make it your goal, figure out how you're going to get there and then start working on it. But don't be surprised if it takes a long time to get there. Your body needs water to function properly. Your skin needs water to look good. I have noticed that my skin is changing, not just because of age, but probably as a result of not giving it the water it needed for years. However, it could be worse if I hadn't started drinking it. Also headaches were frequent with me and I didn't know it was due to lack of water. Once you are thirsty, you've already created a health issue in your body.
First you have to make the goal, then you have to believe you can get there, then you have to work at it. You can do it. Never quit and never give up! 21 days ago
