Hey there! Just checking in...Tomorrow is MONDAY...my weigh-in day (UGH!! just one more reason to dislike Monday's). Crossing fingers and hoping for some downward movement on the scale.
Hoping you have a great start to the week and things go your "weigh"...okay, that was kinda cheesy!
Wishing for a few more days of sunshine while the leaves begin to change (I LOVE FALL!!)...

Just to make sure you get your message from the I Need Sleep Team:
Aahhh, WELCOME, Lynne. I love your enthusiasm and desire to become the best you can get. You've come to the right team. Without good sleep, it is impossible to get or remain healthy. So, let's get started:
Go to my SparkPage, click on the Sleep Hygiene blog, and then print out the three articles written by SP experts to help you learn to sleep. I didn't write these, but put them together as a helpful tool. Get a notebook and some writing utensils so you can start a Sleep Diary. You need to send signals to your brain that it is time for bed by turning off the TV and computer at least an hour before bedtime. Do your bedtime routine, i.e., jammies, brush teeth, take meds, etc. Write all those things down in your Diary. Writing programs your brain for sleep--just like a computer. I like to read, so I get in bed, write my routine down, then write, "I will read for an hour and then sleep." In an hour I turn off my reading lamp and go to sleep.
Illnesses and pain can interfer with sleep, as well as low blood sugar episodes about 3 a.m. which includes nightmares (or what I call stress dreams). If you have these, eat a very light snack with a dairy product (like cheese/milk) and a grain product (I like multi-grain crackers) before you brush your teeth.
Let us know if any of these things work for you. We DO care and want to help.

Hi, I see you've been on Sparks since 2009 but are new to the Midlands Team. Welcome to the gang, we are a very friendly & supportive group of Sparkers so come on in and feel at home here. Drop in for ‘A Natter’ anytime or join in our Challenges. We often get together for the odd Sunday lunch, in Telford, Birmingham, Nottingham & Nuneaton which are really great. Take a look at the ‘Sunday Tucker’ topic to see what we get up to. Each July for the past 4 years, Pete (DH & also CATMAN124) & I have organised the UK Main Team Party in the Park at Coombe Abbey and although the gatherings have only been small so far, we are hoping that as an annual event, it will grow & grow. Look out for the UK Team Party In The Park 23rd July 2011 thread. Much love Jude x UK Midlands Team Leader 2427 days ago
