This year started out with a decision to get healthy by setting a goal weight and maintaining that. I lost a sister in Aug and that threw me for a loop, I ended up gaining a lot of weight -at one point I weighed in at 192. Seeing that number shocked me and I knew I had to do something, sitting around grieving and eating was only going to put me in an early grave or miserable existence and after seeing my sis suffer for years with stage 4 colon cancer, the decision I made was to make my life ...
This year started out with a decision to get healthy by setting a goal weight and maintaining that. I lost a sister in Aug and that threw me for a loop, I ended up gaining a lot of weight -at one point I weighed in at 192. Seeing that number shocked me and I knew I had to do something, sitting around grieving and eating was only going to put me in an early grave or miserable existence and after seeing my sis suffer for years with stage 4 colon cancer, the decision I made was to make my life the best it can be and good health is what you need to get that. I started exercising Jan. 1 and haven't stopped.

I rejoined Spark logging in for 114 days straight, and using the trackers most those days. I have recently joined challenges, most small but a big one, the 5% Fall Challenge is my first of that kind! I was a little apprehensive at first, my main concern was I did not want to let teammates down but as it has progressed I find it fun and not so intimidating.

I have been losing weight slowly with a few hiccups but I am learning as I go how to stave off those, and the articles and blogs help. I hope to have a new me by my birthday in June and definitely by my 30th wedding anniversary.

Here's to me and all my fellow sparkers to attain the goals we have set , no matter what they may be! ;0)

Bodyweight Blast Boot Camp 7 Day Challenge:
(July 1-7) FINISHED THIS CHALLENGE! ;0)

3 Day Military Diet 8/10-8/13.

2015 5% FALL CHALLENGE:
My plan for the challenge:

1. do cardio for at least 120 minutes every week-walking outdoors, WATP, dancing!

2. do bodyweight training at least 3 days a week

3. stay within my calorie range-use the trackers for this challenge


Personal Information:
I live in East Carbon, UT a very small town close to the Colo. border. I was born and raised in Neb. and miss it and family very much.
I have been married for 29 years and have a daughter and son-also 4 grandsons ages 10, 8, 4, and 2.


Other Information:
love to crochet, cross stitch,garden, hanging out with family.


The best inspiration is not to outdo others, but outdo ourselves.

Your body will be around a lot longer than that expensive handbag, INVEST IN YOURSELF!
