Nostalgic Upstate New Yorker living in AZ

I don't miss the snow or the cold of Upstate New York, but I miss the people and my family. The Arizona desert and mountains are beautiful and keep me inspired. Sparkpeople keeps me motivated to reach my goals. I am looking forward to my parent's 60th wedding anniversary on June 1st 2006!
Gosh, I guess 2006 is the last time I updated this! What a difference 4 years makes! Keep Sparking and stay in the Vortex!

Hi,
Hope you get another job soon as that's a lot of driving. I lost my grant monies and still need 22 hours of schooling left. I now know why DeVry was so good with counseling and people to help their rates were extra high and no one told me that I was running out of funding. oh well it is what it is. I was hoping we could take 3 weeks and drive down, but our car blew an engine. Now to figure out how to buy another. lol I did get some good news though with the affordable care act my Humana Insurance is going to go down and I will be able to pick up one with prescriptions and can add vision and dental for 24. a month and still save 25. a month so Hurrah. lol I miss you much and pray I hit the lottery. love you me.

Hi, Mary. Yes, it is the same park The carousel is still there and you can still catch the brass rings. Nice that you remember. I don't know if you remember the brass dog statue...it is still there and kids are still posing as they sit top it.

Hope all is well. Last week had lots of challenges. Today is a new start.

Hugs.

Mary, you have been on my mind with these fires in Arizona. I know they are north of Phoenix and I am praying they get them under control soon...and that you remain safe. You would think in this day of technology, they could figure out how to collect the excess rain here & in the midwest and use it somehow in those areas prone to these fires.

Sending you wishes for safety and Happy 4th of July!

Hugs.
