The Journey to the Best Me Possible

I AM FIFTY - and I feel GREAT!!! Finding Spark has been one of the most wonderful blessings of my life. Since starting SparkPeople, I have lost 43 lbs. and have commenced a journey to become the best me I can possibly be. I am taking better care of my health, exercising and running, continuing to eat healthy and maintain my weight loss. I am also learning to practice the same principles that helped me reach my goal weight to achieve goals in other areas of my life; ie., financially, professionally and with organization and time management. I am just beginning to comprehend how vast my options in life are and what I can do to achieve my dreams while maintaining a balance in my day to day life. I am becoming happier, more content and self assured as life goes on and I intend to keep Spreading the Spark.

I can hardly believe I've been Sparking for three years now! Still, I learn something new everyday. Sometimes I think it was easier losing the weight than it is keeping it off, but the rewards are so worth it. My goal this year is to get back of the few pounds that I have gained back and to get more consistently active. I am also planning to then start school and get my certification as a personal trainer and continue on from there to become a physical therapist. It is amazing how many areas of my life that have been Sparked by this program. Eager to find out what new roads it is going to lead me down!

Job 23:12, "Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food."

Psalms 119:105,"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."

I love truth wherever it may be found.

Have a wonderful Sabbath Day!

Lorraine,
THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU!

Oh my dear, how sweet you are,
Encouragement is appreciated.
So I'm thanking my lucky stars
Tomorrow will be remembered.

For when I've stuck to my guns
Because of your great example.
A victory we both will have won
Not even taking a little sample?

Well maybe just one little taste.
Progress not perfection our goal
With that our day's not a waste
And we're still winner's I'm told.

Good Afternoon my sweet friend. Just got back to SP yesterday. I need SP. I only need to learn temperance now with this and not trade my sugar addiction for a SP addiction. Of course that one doesn't add phyical weight just emotional weight because of guilt at not spending time doing what the Lord would have me do in other areas of my life and why I took a break in the first place to see if I could get my priorities straight. I am learning.

Love you sweetie and hope all is well with you. Have a wonderful weekend.

emoticon Thanks for reading and commenting on my Choffy blog. From what I read on cacoa nibs, they are similar to Choffy. Here's what I read: http://bakingbites.com/2008/09/what-are-ca
cao-nibs/ . I do fix my Choffy in a French Press to get the most flavor. Hope you like it if you try it!
