Wow I just reread my page here and what I want to do. Well I have been on Sparks for 5 years -before my grandson was born.. I still have not gotten to my goal weight. Why? It is not because Sparks isn't a great help -- the site the coaches the people --all helpful. It is because I have lacked the one thing we all need to make this journey successful. It is the fire within that YOU want to do this for you. That is me.. It has all not been wasted 5 years. I have learned ...
Wow I just reread my page here and what I want to do. Well I have been on Sparks for 5 years -before my grandson was born.. I still have not gotten to my goal weight. Why? It is not because Sparks isn't a great help -- the site the coaches the people --all helpful. It is because I have lacked the one thing we all need to make this journey successful. It is the fire within that YOU want to do this for you. That is me.. It has all not been wasted 5 years. I have learned how to eat healthy how to exercise .. I have learned what I need to do to be healthy and lose weight .. Now I have lost 10 lbs. and kept that off. I have also made many friends and even got to meet up with some of them .. so special. What do I do now ? Well I have not changed my goal or lowered my expectations.. I still believe and can get down to a size I will be comfortable with .. I am going to commit myself to do this for me and only me. This is what I want -no one else .. My hip to waist ratio is high --in the danger zone so this will be what I focus on now. I will read up on this and do what it takes to get this number lowered, so I know I will also achieve a smaller me ..

I'm sorry that you had a heart attack, I hope you have a full recovery and will continue to get better with each day. My Stomach to hip ratio well lets say I have a bulging belly and my hips well I carry it all there in my Hienie and stomach so I learned from you I'm in the danger zone too. From the looks of your pictures I would love to look like you !! I have been on sparkpeople for 2.5 years and bounce around from 22 to 25 lbs lost at least I'm not back at the gawd awful weight.... I'm now 250 lbs and want to get down 12 lbs before Summer is over its been a slow go but I have lost inches in my hips and waist I can now fit into the black dress I grew out of, granted it's tight but I got it over my Hienie...thanks for telling me your story....Let's keep on Sparking !!
I can ALWAYS count on YOU for good sparkin advice...thanks for visiting my blog...I'm moving the calories down by quite abit & consulting Canada's Food Guide quotas this week to revamp the diet..will let you know how I made out on Tues. blog next week...
Thank you for reading the blog. More than anything I hope to reach other women and men who struggled and let them see it's not hopeless. It's never too late to make changes for the better. We go out of our way at times to save for a vacation, make time for friends. We certainly make time for our children and husbands, if we have them. We have to make time for us. We only get one body. It's got to last. Who is going to look out for it, if we don't? When a person is younger they think they have plenty of time to change . They live in the today moment, not thinking of the future. "Sounds like me" That might be, but when you get older, time is more precious. It seems to be on the fast track. For me I wanted more time, I wasn't ready or am I now, to cash in. I want to live. Not just exist. I want to enjoy every moments of every day. Want to enjoy my high heels. If the story of my journey from obesity to health and fitness helps free others from it's grips, I will be very happy. This is starting to sound like a blog. Smile. I am looking at the clock , hard to believe it's almost 6:00, Been up 13 hours, Accomplished much, but always more to do. When you start out on some exercise, you don't have to start out big. Gradually build up to where you feel you're comfortable. You can d it. You want it bad enough, you will. Have a nice evening. Take care, Cheers, Tisha
