I wanted to update this again. Can you tell I love pancakes? (August 2010)

Well first-I go to school in Upstate New York. A far cry of where I grew up. I'm a math, english and education major. I love it. I'll be here for a while (actually 5 years for the triple). I'm currently a junior (I've only been in college two years though...I just racked up the credits due to summer classes and high school courses)

I'm also a member of our colleges swim team. I swim the mile and 1000. Reluctantly-the 500 and 200 fly occasionally. I just swim what I'm told essentally. I qualified for our big championship meet this season in the mile and 1000yd freestyle. After a disapointing performance I got 16th (top 16 make it to finals) and then I got 8th overall. Swimming two miles in one day for time is not fun ha.

Anyways-
I was always hovering at overweight from middle to high school. In college due to practicing every day (sometimes twice) my weight dropped a lot and now I'm a rather comfortable weight. I'm not here on Sparkpeople to lose weight, I'm here to live a healthy lifestyle.

I notice after having junk and processed foods-my practices aren't always as nice as I would like. When I was younger, I never knew the improtance of carbs or protein or anything. Now that I have tapped into SparkPeople, I have learned a great deal that I continue to share the team.

Swim team practices from May-March. (with a short break in August) That is pretty much my routine then. Between March and May I normally do the elliptical, swim and run...whatever I feel like during the day.

Over the summer I also teach step aerobics. I love it-if you want to know anything about it send me a message or comment. I'm currently in the process of getting my personal training cert. Along with lifeguarding-we will see where summer takes me.

On a side note-my weight ticker is just how my weight fluctuates during season and offseason. With muscle gain and loss it is anywhere in between 120 and 130.

So here is to us all having a more healthy and lovely lifestyle.

My goal is to feel comfortable in my own skin. As a female, there are so many pressures to look a certain way. I'm sorry Megan Fox-but I eat more than once a day.

I want to blog more. I want to be more supportive of others and I want to teach what I know.

    Yep we're leaving Tuesday morning - so I'm looking forward to it! I'll have my laptop so I can still read all your wonderful blogs ;)

    Other than that things are going okay. Being on break has been great for the sleep schedule and I've been getting to the Y a lot... but I keep eating too much - shocker!! So my weight hasn't done anything exciting. Just more up and down. But I feel SO strong since I've been doing the weightlifting stuff more and it's definitely a good change for me :) Life is so good on break but I need to review some stuff before we go back for summer classes in 3 weeks.

    So how about you?? How's school wrapping up? If you ever want to start up our message thing again that would be cool with me!

    i'm doing ok. need to get back on not eating junk . i eat lot this past week with easter . which i don't do often. How's school going ? i read your blog about changing your major. what great thing to do with your life.it sounds better to me then math. (because i'm terrible at it. Do you have plans for summer? emoticon

    Yaaaaay great news :) I am glad you're happy with where you are because I know you were stressing out about it a lot. I've been great - eating well, almost done with the semester, and blood sugars are great. Honestly I haven't been working out as much as usual but there's a lot of info about "chronic cardio" out there so I've been trying to do more weights. Tomorrow I start with my personal trainer so I took it easy this week so when we work out tomorrow I'll be ready to go!

    I'll see what I can whip up for you about audiology ;) When do you want it?
