50 by 50

I want to loose weight again, and this time I'm starting out with a smaller goal of 50 pounds by the time I turn 50 later this year ~ then I'll work on the next goal of 50.
Back in 2008 I lost 160 pounds when I first discovered Sparkpeople, and have since put back on around 115 of that 160.
I felt so much better physically, mentally & emotionally when I took the weight off before & I want to feel that way again!

3/12/14 ~ week 10 and I've lost 10% of my body weight, and ...

3/12/14 ~ week 10 and I've lost 10% of my body weight, and just over half way to reaching my first goal of loosing 50 pounds before my 50th birthday in May ~ woohoo!

5/12/14 ~ I didn't reach my goal of loosing 50 pounds by the time I turned 50, but I'm not giving up. I've been so sick since the beginning of April that it's been difficult to do much of anything. I will proceed one day at a time until this extra weight is gone, I am not giving up!

7/16/14 ~ Starting over...been a while since I stepped on the scales & I was shocked and disappointed in myself. Enough is enough and I have to get back in control of my life!
Also just found out I'm going to be a grandmother again ~ My son & his wife are expecting their first child, so exciting!

Personal Information:
My name is Lorie, I'm 49 years old. I was born & raised in VT. I'm married to a wonderful man I met on E-Harmony ten years ago. .

Other Information:
I have a grown son who recently got married, and a step-daughter & son-in-law who have blessed us with two beautiful grandchildren.
I want to loose this weight & be around to watch them grow up.
Diabetes runs down both sides of my family, and recently my Dad had a stroke, so I need to take care of myself so I don't become the next to have these problems.
