I like going to the gym because it gives my motivation. I'm a huge people watcher so I like to look at everyone while I lift and think about how awesome it's going to be when I get that ripped or think about how far I've come compared to that person just starting out. I can't get that at home.
As far as me being a vegetarian for my weight loss I think it had a huge impact. I don't think I could have done it without giving up the meat and I also think that that's a reason that I probably haven't lost anything since I started eating meat again. Portion control is so much easier when your a veg head. You can eat as much greens as you like and not gain weight. I didn't eat a lot of dairy to make up for the lack of meat too. Every once in a while I might make like a vegetarian pasta dish that called for a little bit of cheese but that's a bout it. I also ate a good bit of cottage cheese loafs which are packed with protein and I still find tasty to this day.
It was something I knew I could stick with because I was a Vegan in high school. Not a healthy one, but a vegan none the less. Cory and I try to go meatless now a few times a week because A: It's cheaper on the purse and B: It's FUN to try new things! I also LOVE tofu and know how to make a mean veggie sausage out of Vital Wheat Gluten. Cashew Cream is amazing in soups and also I will never drink dairy milk again. It doesn't agree with me.
