I have been here before, at SparkPeople, with my weight through the roof. I am a 60 year old woman, determined once again, with the help of God, to get healthy before it's really too late. I used to be fit and active, and somehow let it all get away from me and I'm paying the price. But I'm going to try again . . .

Happy weekend, Nancy! I hope your little ones aren't scared by the "boom-booms!" Moosie is unperturbed but Luna is super sensitive and will even jump when there's a loud noise on the TV. We'll hope for the best this weekend.

Today I take Moo in for another checkup on his ear. Next weekend we'll get his stitches out. It's healing well and I'm so happy we decided for the surgery we did, instead of just draining the fluid (which would've left his ear a crinkled, crumpled mess of cartilage). He's still got both beautiful, floppy, "Flying Nun" ears!

With my new job, I will have Wednesdays off. The downside - no more three day weekends. The upside - I only ever have to work two days in a row and I have a break mid-week! I'll take it!

I hope you three enjoy your weekend! We'll do the same here!

Me, Moo, and Lu :-)

Hi Nancy, emoticon

emoticon for taking the time to comment on my blog! If you like the video, you can always just step in place without the step. It would still be a great workout! Let me know what you think.

Your continued encouragement is so appreciated! It really makes me feel good. Sometimes I feel awesome and on a great roll. Then like today, I just feel overly tired and stomach-achy. I only did 30 minutes of exercise and that was torture. So I'm just chillin' out and catching up on my DVR recordings. Hopefully I can catch up on some sleep too.

Chloe was so sick last night. She had a long hairball she was able to get out, but kept me up all night. She just couldn't be consoled for hours. Poor thing. I didn't know what to do for her except try to calm her and stay up with her. There was no sleeping with her taking little gentle bites at me, leaning on me, staring at me. I felt so bad. Today see seems better, and ate something, but sleeping a lot. Do you use anything special for hairballs other than petramalt or that typical carmel past like substance? It's so difficult to give it to her. I can give her the asthma pills much easier! I wish there was something I could put in her food or water that was undetectable. I've been doing more brushing other than the usual brush. I have that FURminator tool and that does a great job of getting the extra fur out, but she can only take it for so long. I have to alternate between the two brushes in on session. Bella on the other hand rarely gets hairballs. Much shorter fur.

Have a great evening!
Barbara

"I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind.
Some come from ahead and some come from behind.
But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see.
Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!"
