Once upon a time I was very active on SparkPeople, it was a great time full of water, veggies, and lots of exercise. Since then things have changed. I started drinking more soda than water for the first time in all my (then) 27 years. I fell into a dark sedentary place filled with late night popcorn and fudge brownies. Then I saw the light...myself in a picture of my 6 month old son opening his first Christmas gifts. I've always been big but at that moment, I realized how much I had let myself ...

I started drinking more soda than water for the first time in all my (then) 27 years. I fell into a dark sedentary place filled with late night popcorn and fudge brownies. Then I saw the light...myself in a picture of my 6 month old son opening his first Christmas gifts. I've always been big but at that moment, I realized how much I had let myself go. I'm seriously huge, and I'm ashamed. I could blame it on all the life changes, moving away from the city into our first home, a fixer-upper that required so much time and energy that I didn't feel like a I *needed* to exercise. As we got more and more done on the house, I just got more and more relieved that all that "work" was over with. Then I found out I was pregnant. I had gestational asthma so honestly, I'm not sure I could have exercised had I tried...but I never tried. And the "morning" sickness....I threw up several times a day for over 6 months, yet I still gained 18lbs (how in the hell did THAT happen?!). But now that's all behind me, my baby boy is 6 months old, and I'm 40 pounds heavier than I've ever been. I know that this is not the life I want to live. I lost my way before but somehow I've found the path again and I'm ready to get started on this journey!

I'm a redhead, and so I spontaneously and randomly urge people to wear sunscreen. (and then wonder, did I just say that outLOUD?)....I've never minded the freckles, but now that I'm aging, I'm more concerned about the dermatologists viewpoint... Please forgive my forwardness...
