(UPDATED 11/2013) Hi! I'm Ashleigh, a 20-something who is appalled at how out of control her weight has become. I'm an amateur pastel artist with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and living with my amazing fiancé.

I lost 63.6 pounds in my first 9 months on SparkPeople (in 2012), then hit some huge bumps in the road in my personal life and yo-yoed. Each yo-yo brought me higher than before. My ultimate goal is a 140- to 150-pound loss, so I'm back for Health Journey 2.0 to finish what I started!

My Goals:
Ultimately to get to a healthy weight (lose about 140-150 pounds) and then maintain for the rest of my life!

I'd also like to eventually run a half marathon.


My Program:
Baby steps! I've started small, and am increasing things a little bit at a time.

-Drink primarily water
-Stay in my calorie range each week, eating clean 80% of the time
-A plank a day

    So sorry that you had a rough day yesterday, chica. Don't beat yourself up too much because this is a lifestyle change and you are bound to indulge every now and then. Hope everything is okay beyond the eating day?

    Way to rock your plank! I have never attempted one but I don't think it would be pretty. haha. Are you trying to add to your time each day? What's your ultimate goal with it?

    Thanks for the compliment. I have been trying to move at least a little each day. I primarily do workout videos (Hot Hula, Zumba, Leslie Sansone) and Just Dance on Wii. I am feeling the need to mix it up so my husband is teaching me spinning and when I drop a bit more, I may start "running" (AKA...walking quickly and panting). :) Any fun exercises that you hope to try?

    I just checked out your blog and I love it! Especially the reasons to lose...I am RIGHT THERE with you, girl! The dang seats/armrests really stand out...it is almost crippling having to adjust your life/the things you do because of the extra weight. I am so tired of being alive but not actually living.
