Hi there! My name is Ashley. I became a Spark member about 5 years ago.....for the first time. I joined clubs, wrote blogs, became a leader of more clubs, made friends, logged food, created recipes; the whole bit. I became OBSESSED with Spark and forgot about what was really important. ME!!! My workouts started becoming fewer and further between, not to mention not nearly as intense as I'd like them to be. I was stuck in a rut. I didn't like me. I was in a horrible place in my life.....bad relationship, low self-esteem, jobless. But when I'd log onto Spark, everything was "okay". I was a leader. No one knew about my problems. But I knew. Spark became an escape for me. I was using it, but not the way I should have been.
Since then, I've got myself together. I just got married this past August, to a man that tells me I'm beautiful every single day. He loves my curves and my "extra padding", and he's made me see that no matter what size I am, I can be pretty. He's done so much for my self-esteem and self-confidence. Now I know that I'm here for the right reasons, and I fully intend on doing it the Spark way, but in my own time and at my own pace. I know now that speed doesn't always equal success. The turtle DID beat the hare after all!

My Goals:
Small Starter Goals:
1. Drink more water.
2. Stop drinking soda.
3. Go to the gym 3x/week.
4. Stay within my nutrition range.
5. Do more cooking at home.
6. Stop eating so much processed food.
7. Log into Spark daily.
9. Use a journal daily.
10. Start running

Ultimate Goals:
1. Run a 5k with my husband.
2. Buy a smaller size pant.


My Program:
Exercise Goals

Monday:
cardio-30 minutes
strength-core, arms, legs

Wednesday:
cardio-30 minutes
strength-chest, back

Friday:
cardio-60 minutes

Nutrition Goals

*Cut soda to 3 days/week or less.
*Cook more at home, even if that means putting food in the crockpot at 5am.
*Eat less processed food.
*Eat more vegetables.


Motivational Goals

*Journal daily
*Spark daily
*Read one motivational quote and use that as journal inspiration.



Personal Information:
I have an amazing life! I just recently (August 2011) married my best friend. I have two amazing step kids and a lovely little poochie. I'm the Client Coordinator/Office Manager for the largest home inspection company in the DFW Metroplex and really love my job.

    I've been a member a little more than two years. I made fantastic progress and lost 100 pounds in the first year BUT I became careless about nutrition and exercise and have gained 30 back! I became disgusted with myself and closed my Spark account, but soon realized I NEEDED to be here. I'm back using the nutrition and exercise trackers now - they are so important. The sense of community and the friendships I have made here keep me going!
