One Day At A Time

I am a 36 yr old mom to a beautiful (almost 3yr old) little girl and expecting another in Dec 2014. I am also with the most wonderful man in the world and couldn't be any happier.

This past year I've had spurts where I really did well and then seem to just maintain the rest of the time. Now that I'm expecting I'm really going to have to dig deep and keep myself in check so I don't gain a ton of weight. I know what I'm actually capable of and with the help of all my great spark ...

I know what I'm actually capable of and with the help of all my great spark friends I know I'll get there...one day at a time!

Growing up I never had problems with weight but then I became a pregnant teen and put on over 100 lbs b/c of the stress and heartache of giving my baby up for adoption.
Ever since then I have been on the weight loss roller coaster. Just once in my life it would be nice to drop ALL the weight and never be on that ride again, lol.

I know I could think of several excuses as to why I can't overcome all the obstacles that stand in my way but I know I need to push those aside and fight for what I deserve....what my family deserves!

- lose like 70 + lbs

- look hot in bikini this summer

- run a 5k under 30 min - ALMOST..31:24 thanksgiving 2013

- become a licensed zumba instructor

- strong/fit (athletic)..not thin!


7-5-12: 200 lbs
1 YEAR SPARKAVERSARY -
Total Loss = -26.4 lbs

8-1-13: 168 lbs
2 YEAR SPARKAVERSARY -
Total Loss = +21.2
yep i gained but i'm still down 10 lbs since i started, lol ;)

8-7-14:
Pregnant!
(will weigh in after baby's born in Dec)

My Program:
UPDATED: 5-27-14

PREGNANCY PLAN...
FOOD: Three small meals and three snacks a day (last one before 8pm). Focusing on lean proteins, organic fruits and veggies.
Drinking lots of water and some organic 2% milk.
WORKOUT: Three times a week. Walking & Zumba.

NON-PREGNANCY PLAN...
FOOD: To sub two meals with protein shakes & eat one meal and two snacks in between. Focusing on lots of organic foods! Lean proteins, lots of veggies and low on fruits.
Drinking all water.
WORKOUT:
Monday - Saturday
Lots of cardio and resistance bands a couple times a week.
Love Zumba, Turbo Jam, Insanity and Tae Bo

Oh no!!! Anything with the word poison would make working out a HUMUNGOUS challenge....food poisoning, blood poisoning, poison oak, poison ivy, poisonous spider bite, etc. glad to see you're not down and out!!

Thank you for the goodie! First gold star I've received since I was out of elementary school. It's nice to receive one.

I always heard that "cravings" are the body's alert for an actual nutrient that's running low- but that "flavor of craving" is it's opposite!
