One Day At A Time

I am a 37 yr old mom to two beautiful girls. I am also with the most wonderful man in the world and couldn't be any happier.

This past year I've had spurts where I really did well and then seem to just maintain the rest of the time. Now that I'm expecting I'm really going to have to dig deep and keep myself in check so I don't gain a ton of weight. I know what I'm actually capable of and with the help of all my great spark friends I know I'll get there...one day at a time!

Growing up I never had problems with weight but then I became a pregnant teen and put on over 100 lbs b/c of the stress and heartache of giving my baby up for adoption.
Ever since then I have been on the weight loss roller coaster. Just once in my life it would be nice to drop ALL the weight and never be on that ride again, lol.

I know I could think of several excuses as to why I can't overcome all the obstacles that stand in my way but I know I need to push those aside and fight for what I deserve....what my family deserves!

FOOD: To sub two meals with protein shakes & eat one meal and two snacks in between. Focusing on lots of organic foods! Lean proteins, lots of veggies and low on fruits.
Drinking all water.

WORKOUT:
Monday - Saturday
Lots of cardio and resistance bands a couple times a week.
Love Zumba, Turbo Jam, Insanity and Tae Bo & PiYo

My marbles were dusty and hadn't moved in a while but I never gave up on them. I had to take out the 70lbs worth I've still kept off and kind of reset them for my last 37 pounds lol I'm going to focus on just that for now

Lol. On your duck mat trying to rack its brains for more quackers to share :D No worries, its a happy mat all on its own :) And thanks for the encouragement & happy to cheer you on too! I've been busy...in a different way...finding energy to do beyond the basics (even 6 months after a break up...well 3 months since we bumped into each other & had a ...heartstring puller :P But helped concrete things much more in my heart & mind) Anywho...it takes time to recover and I feel myself more and more doing things I loved and have the motivation & energy...theres the ups & downs, and this is all part of life--stress, challenges, etc. But I'm thankful for the many blessings I have in my life..and for great sparkies that remind me of that :)

Hey you! :) So sorry I didn't see your comment till now!!! But my tip would've been gatorade/ hydration!!!! And to stop if you feel dizzy/passing out. But how'd the 5K go?? Was the heat ok? I'm sure they had drinks there though. I'd love to do one (a 5k never have!)...some day...maybe in the fall season when its cooler :D Looking forward to hearing about your 5k!!
