Hi, I'm Fox! I am a 30something dog lover in Pittsburgh, PA. Happy to be a returning member of the Purple Passion BL Team for our 2018 Spring Challenge!

I am a charity runner in training for the 2018 Pittsburgh Half Marathon. I am completing the Steel Challenge this year:

~ 5k on Saturday, May 5
~ First leg of the Relay on Sunday, May 6
~ Half marathon on Sunday, May 6

I am running for two charities. First, I am running the relay for Humane Animal Rescue's Paws Over Pittsburgh team. I will be the first leg of the relay for our North Shore shelter team, Jogs for Dogs. The doggos are my world, and I am so happy to give back to them!!

Secondly, I am running the half for another wonderful dog rescue group, the Pittsburgh Aviation Animal Rescue Team (or PAART). They have air and land pilots who rescue dogs from high-risk situations, bring food and supplies to dogs in need, and even help out with rescue of other animals in need. My fundraising goal is $500. You can read more about my race here:

I also like lifting heavy, going to spin class at Cyclebar North Hills, and doing workout tapes (especially Richard Simmons) at home. I work out every day, even if it's just a quick one to keep going.

I love to write, dance, and am also a die-hard Erin Condren Planner girl. I play World of Warcraft (my main is a balance/resto Night Elf Druid), although I don't have nearly as much time for it as I wish I did! I have an adorable little black pit bull named Layla Grace.

I am *also* a huge foodie. That's part of the problem lol. But I am trying to work on eating healthy for most of my life, so that I can really enjoy those delicious dinners out.

My Goals:
Get beastly huge muscles. PR at the 2018 Pittsburgh half - under 2:10 goal.

My Program:
Food: Meal plan in my Carrie Elle Meal Planner. Trying to avoid processed foods as much as possible. Cook at home a lot, eat fresh & local stuff. Purchase all meat from known local ranches. NO GRAZING. I'm currently on a meal plan of 2000 calories on non-long-run days and 2400 calories on long run days, 100-125g protein, and 250ish carbs.

Exercise: strength training 2 times a week, cardio every day for 20+ minutes.

Personal Information:
I used to be a dancer. My brain still thinks my stomach is in a dancer's body (it's not). I still love dancing, and I like running quite a bit, even though I'm not that great at it yet. I am a retired karaoke star.

Other Information:
I'm a total gym rat. I love working out, and I'll try pretty much any exercise (although I get a little skeptical about some of the hyped-up stuff).

I write several blogs:

"At the age of thirty-seven, I was fat, and since the age of thirty-eight, I have never been fat again. That's the whole idea of effective weight loss-it's permanent because it's part of your lifestyle and the way you think about yourself, with pride and a sense of accomplishment. The goal you achieve is your own-you own it."-Jean Nidetch
