The quote above is something Jillian Michaels posted on her Facebook blog. It has gotten me thinking of WHY I really want to lose weight and WHY I have not been successful.

For as long as I can remember, I have been trying to lose weight. I have never sat down and tried to figure out why I have not been successful . . . until now. After having my second baby, I've realized that losing the weight will be really challenging.

I am married to a wonderful man. Has has stood by my side and supported me, even when he thinks I am crazy. I am very lucky to have him. I have a 3 year old son who is the light of my life. He has taught me to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures in life. I also have a 5 month baby girl who is absolutely adorable. She has taught me to find happiness in the little things. Her happiness right now is when she finds her toes :).

My Goals:
My original goal is to lose 30 lbs and get back to my pre-baby weight. Once that goal is accomplished, I would like to lose another 20 lbs.

My Program:
I have learned that the only way I will be successful is to track everything I eat and drink. When I am mindful of what I am putting in my mouth, I tend to make healthier decisions.

My workouts consist of a variety of cardio and strength training. I use an elliptical machine as well as various workout dvds - 30 Day Shred, BFBM, NMTZ, & Slim in 6.

My goal in 2010 is to complete P90X before my friend's wedding in September.

Ps when You give blood they advise 24 hours of no exercise. My way around it. exercise in the am before then next day slow walk and boot camp after 6 pm!!
