The GOOD LIFE

After a car accident which laid me up for almost 4 years, I gained 20 plus pounds. That was 10 years ago and I have not taken the weight off. I am on the edge of high blood pressure and high cholesterol and need to focus better on correcting this. Nows my time!!!!!!!!
I am an avid quilter(30 plus years). I also do flat peyote Christmas Ornaments. I am a member and VP of both the Quilt Guild and the Embroiderer's Guild in my home town.

My Goals:
Goals
1. Get into better shape, improve my core muscles
2. Lose 27 pounds by end of 2009
3. Reduce my stress to lower blood pressure and cholesterol - borderline on both.....

My Program:
This summer I discovered Nintendo WII Fit, then purchased a better quality stationary bike. I did well following in the program this summer but "fell off the spark" this fall. I'm back with a new determination to follow the program. I'm going to break my goals down this time into small sections so I can realize more success. 27 pounds is too much for one goal.

Personal Information:
I'm an avid quilter, beader, and knitter. Problem with these hobbies is they are sedendary. I am very involved in our local Quilt Guild and Embroiderer's Guild.
My husband is an avid golfer. When he golfs, I go to my Quilt room.....
We spend summers in New England on our boat and the remaining year in North Carolina where we retired in 2004.

Other Information:
Looking to find Sparkers who have similar interests and who can help me stay on track. This is going to be MY year for success.

Sometimes it seams like one step forward two steps back. Just stick with the food journals and the exercise and the pounds will come off. emoticon emoticon

Started this in July and I did very well for 3 months. Now I'm up 5 pounds and need to get energized again. I'm feeling motivated and hope with the use of this site I can make my goals work this time. I gained the weight when I stopped working with Spark, so I know it works........
