2016 - The Year of Healthy Habits

12/6/15: I'm ready for 2015 to be over and 2016 to start. So ready in fact that I've already decided what my goals for the year are going to be.

2016 is going to be the year of Healthy Habits. Each month I'm going to work on a new habit that will get me moving, improve my eating or make me feel better. I'm not good at putting myself first, but I'm going to be by the end of the year.

My Goals:
By the end of the 2016 year I want to have accomplished the following goals.

1.Walk 2016 Miles in 2016.

2.Spend no more than 30 minutes on the computer at home daily and limit reading time on the Kindle to 30 minutes.

3.Get to the Gym at least 30 times during each quarter of the year.

4. Be rowing 5000 meters at a pace of 2:09.7/500 meters by 10/16/16

5. Work on a new Healthy Habits every Month



My Program:
Winter 5% Challenge Exercise Plan

Row 3-6 morning a week
Strength Train 2X a week
Stretch 3-7 days a week
Walk 11,87 steps a day
Work out at the Y 2-3 times a week

Diet - Follow Weight Watchers and incorporate elements of the Full Plate Diet.

Hello! I'm a long time Sparker (I joined in 2009) but didn't get serious until August 2012. I love how this program has helped me improve my health.

I live in Ferguson, MO, I'm a RN working in Complex Care for a Fortune 500 insurance company. I am an avid sports fan and LOVE my Missouri Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals.

I'm looking forward to 2015 and continuing on this my Spark Journey!

It's super Saturday, Lynn! If you've ever been late for work. Late for a date. Felt too old to change. Missed the boat/train. Fell off the wagon. Took a sabbatical. Derailed while on vacation. Bad stuff happened in life. It’s okay to be late. All LATE stands for is:

A-t
T-he
E-xperience

Then get back on track. There’s years worth of empty days ahead to fill with good positive choices!

Super Friday! Those negative thoughts we get, the negative comments or negative posts some people leave on our page or feed are like gangrene…cut them out! You’re already beautiful! SparkPeople is where we came to get help in becoming healthy. We cry with each other over the disappointments, sorrows and pain we experience. Good morning! Are you tired of watching what you eat, finding time to exercise, trying to do things up differently to stay interested and engaged? It’s at those moments when we’re wondering if it’s all worth it we need to dig deep into our inner person, the one so far deep, deep inside and find the will to continue. Hi! Motivation starts with a thought...if we're positive we will succeed, then we will succeed...if we're positive we will fail, then we will fail. Let's think positive thoughts of success! Together we will succeed!!!!
