12/23/2016: The best thing that happened to me in 2016 was a Grade III hamstring tear. I had 12 weeks of physical therapy which helped so much with my flexibility and balance. I started taking Yoga after Physical Therapy so I wouldn't backslide and I.JUST.LOVE.IT! I'm still not very bendy but I'm getting better every day. I am usually a dead pigeon in class so I hope that by the end of the year I can get into plow and pigeon pose.

The 2017 Project is Me!! I've lost 65 pounds since August 4, 2015; getting rid of that weight has made it easier to increase my physical activity so I've got a bunch of physical goals to work on. I still am eating out of boredom so I've got some mental work to do also so I eat more mindfully.

My Goals:
By the end of the 2017 year I want to have accomplished the following goals.

1. Walk 2017 Miles in 2017.
2. Start 100 Days of Weight Loss on 12/23/2016 and finish on 4/2/2017
3. Get rid of underarm flab
4. Improve my upper body strength so I can go rock wall climbing for my birthday
5. Join the St. Louis Rowing Club and learn how to open water row
6. Be pigeon rather than a dead pigeon.
7. Participate in the Senior Olympics
8. Practice mindful eating with every meal.
9. Eat a serving of beans every day

Winter 5% Challenge Exercise Plan

Walk the dog 7x per week
Fleet Feet No Boundaries Program Work Out 3X per week
Row 3x per week
Swim 3x per week
Yoga 3x per week
Strength Training 2x per week MW (F)
Rehab Exercises 7 days a week

Hello! I'm a long time Sparker (I joined in 2009) following Weight Watchers to help me achieve my goal of being healthier.

I live in Ferguson, MO, I'm a RN working in Complex Care for a Fortune 500 insurance company. I am an avid sports fan and LOVE my Missouri Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals.

I'm looking forward to making The 2017 Project a success!!
