J's Journey

Approaching 50 (in one year!), and battling winter weight that has crept up on me. My year long journey last year led to a 32 pound weight loss, followed by a 10 pound gain over the winter. I am getting back in gear to lose those and start healthier, more permanent goals like eating whole foods (I eat fast food a LOT) and doing more strength training.

My Goals:
I want to run a 10K, and maybe a half-marathon.

I want to do more cross-training, including biking, Zumba and Yoga.

My Program:
I walk/jog at least 6 days a week in the Summer, and do core and strength exercises as well.

During the school year, I try to FORMALLY do exercise 3-4 days per week.



Personal Information:
I'm from the REAL Midwest, Kansas. I have two daughters, two dogs, and 1 cat. Oh, and a husband! Along with a beautiful granddaughter and two great son-in-laws.

I am also working on the 5k. I'm not doing it fast but I am keeping at it. I am doing the whole foods, I'm using the 21 day fix both exercise and eating plan I love it and have seen great results with it.
I wish you the best on your journey to a healthy and fit you!

Morning!! I am starting over again today. I am off to fix my scale from kg to lbs soon then my workout before heading to Atwood lake for my nephews 16th bday. I stopped by to say hi and to see if you can pop in here and there to keep me accounted for. I haven't been on for so long because I fell off the wagon and hate posting I did nothing and I ate a bunch of bad food that I know is bad but I just did it anyway.

Here's to day 1 a brand new start and a wonderful day!!
