Hello :)

I have been trying for a baby for over a year now and the weight has rapidly been increasing.

I am now undergoing IVF treatment and my weight has peaked at 166lbs which is the heaviest i have ever been and it's time to start getting it back down because it's one thing to be childless, but to feel fat as well...

My goal is to achieve a BMI of about 23 which for a height of 5'2 will mean i'll have to lose 40lbs which is just under a quarter of my ...
Hello :)

My goal is to achieve a BMI of about 23 which for a height of 5'2 will mean i'll have to lose 40lbs which is just under a quarter of my bodyweight!

I'm not too good with the exercise so it's a strict diet regime for me - lots of fruit, veg and lean protein :)

Hi L_OUISEB (Louise?) I just saw your introduction in the EM Introduce Yourself forum. It really struck a chord with me - we're the same age, both looking for local friends, and while I'm not trying for a baby yet I think I will be soon and infertility is something that worries me a lot. I don't really know why, it just seems so possible! At least I can totally relate with being 26 and not having a baby - it seems like every girl I know is pregnant or just starting a family. I've known a couple of girls who've gone through IVF and been successful. Be strong! It's tough but there's a beautiful life waiting for you, no matter what.

Anyway, we're both newbies in need of friends so I thought I'd add you. According to my profile it would look like I've been a member since last June but that's only semi true. I didn't really start Sparking till last month. Seems good so far, hope I can keep it up!

Best of luck to you,
Katie
