Run Along Now

AWOL SPARKPERSON now trying to do it on her own. Weight gain has ensued, (8 lbs) but athletic goals are still in motion, as is my body. Time has been consumed by work and my old SP goal to spend less time on-line was apparently reached and now I plop on the couch vs. the computer, to watch Reality TV after my gym time. My sleep time is much improved as RTV tends to lull, as does my newfound addiction to reading on my Nook.

Happy medium seeking here. Obviously doing it on my own is not highly effective, and winter wields a sword of apathy that strikes through the core (literally) of me.

Hoping to strike that non-addictive chord of balance that works so effectively when all the essences of life are aligned.

Interacting with SP friends daily.

Eating greener and leaner and *mostly* vegan.







Personal Information:
I am a social worker at a Skilled Nursing and Rehab center. This is my first experience in working with the elderly population.

I was a Mental Health Social Worker for 10 years in West Virginia, and then delved into Home Care and Hospice Care when I moved to California. Being a Hospice Social Worker was the first step toward healing after losing my mom to cancer and being on the receiving end of Hospice Care.
I was very active and fit when I lived in southern California. (In line skating, biking, water volleyball,and swimming)

My move to Pennsylvania five years ago, was devastating to my fitness regime as I hadn't been a "gym person" since living in West Virginia. (My Home Sweet Home state)

March 2009, I grew tired of being unfit and fat, and joined a gym.

May 2009, I FOUND SPARKPEOPLE!

Hi there Lynne, I know you are not on Spark anymore, but your page is still here, and I couldn't resist stopping in. I am back sparking hard because I had a really rough fall 2011, and have gained some and gotten off track. So here I am. I hope you are well and thriving (I am sure you are :-) Miss you lots.
