To be positive each day. To learn new things. To enjoy the moment. To be grateful. To really listen to others. To forgive others. To be a role model.
Things to work on: To begin to care more about my appearance. To really work on strength training. To try other fitness classes.
Choose healthy foods. Stay on track w/calories. Track all food & exercise. Water aerobics 3x weekly. (When doc releases me) Walk, walk, walk. Weigh every morning. Wear Fitbit to motivate me
My husband and I live in a small town not far from the greater Atlanta area.
In June of 2012 I retired from teaching, a career that I embarked upon in 1972. During those 40 years I taught full time for 26 years and was a stay at home mom for 14 years.
I love to spend time with my daughter, son-in-law and two granddaughters ( ages 8 and 10) who live in the Atlanta area.
DH and I spend lots of time with my parents ( ages 86 and 89) who live 10 minutes away.
"Quit now and keep quitting. If you are still wondering whether to quit, know that if you quit today, you will quit tomorrow. Vince Lombardi said, once you learn to quit, it will become a habit. Once we quit, our mind becomes programmed & will be ready to shut down any time it faces difficulty. So let's fight now & keep fighting our way to victory!!! Y'all with me?" -Ruby Gettinger
TGIF! Just stopping by from the Countdown to Spring team to remind you that Spring is right around the corner...less than two weeks away! Keep doing your best to make progress, one day at a time. Don't quit. We have to keep fighting, because we are worth the effort! Have a Spark-o-licious weekend! Hugs, Pixie
"If you have made mistakes...there is always another chance for you...you may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call "failure" is not the falling down, but the staying down." -- Mary Pickford
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog, "In Memory of My Dear Friend, Little_Queen." The Mary Pickford quote was one of her favorites. Have a blessed day.
“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” ― Albert Einstein
Evelyn, thank you for the goodie and condolences on the passing of my dear Spark friend. I do plan to blog about her but right now I'm just still so stunned that she's gone. Thank you for caring. God bless you. Hugs, Pixie
