Hello. I am tired of being on the weight loss roller coaster. I want to be healthy and welcome friends to join me on this journey.

Although I have been a SparkPeople member for years, I have not always used this wonderful resource the way I should. I am excited to be a part of this great community and look forward to having support on my journey.

Hello. I am tired of being on the weight loss roller coaster. I want to be healthy and welcome friends to join me on this journey.

Although I have been a SparkPeople member for years, I have not always used this wonderful resource the way I should. I am excited to be a part of this great community and look forward to having support on my journey.

I used to think people who ran were crazy. I could not understand why they would put themselves through that torture. Then, in a moment of clarity, I realized that all of my running friends were healthy and I decided that I wanted to be healthy too so I started the couch to five K program and shocked myself by LOVING it. Holy moly! I was running and I liked.

Last May I hurt my foot (plantar's fasciitis). Finally, in February, I was able to run again without pain. Thank you WalkFit inserts. It was a little sad to start over but I have completed the C25K progam before so I know I can do it. I have been doing two days at a time and am up to week 7. Now I want to work on speed (I am definitely a tortise) and increase my distance to 10K.

My Goals:
Be healthy!

Be a RUNNER!

Take better care of me so I can take better care of others.

Eat less sugar.

Drink more water!

Run the 10K trail at our family reunion in Sarasota this summer.

Add strength training to my exercise routine to tone up and get strong.

My Program:
Drink my water.

Eat fruit instead of candy.

Track my food on SparkPeople.

Graduate from C25K and move on to the Bridge to 10K program.

Firm and TurboJam on non-running days.

Personal Information:
I am a wife, mom and teacher. I struggle to find me time but know that to be the best me I can be, I have to take care of myself.

I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant and know that my risk for developing Type II diabetes is higher than average. Making healthier choices is about so much more than weight.

Glad to see you've signed up to be a Dawggie again. Hope both of us get assigned there again... I've been told that if you've been on a team in good standing they generally put you back on that team if you request it.

I smile every time I see that picture of your pup on the table. How did she get up there?? Abby our Lhasa Apso has those short legs and the extent of her jumbing is a bed or sofa...

WOOHOO Beth !! Did ya realize that even on the break how ACTIVE you are?? For ur exercise this week, you did 747 mins of exercise !! WOWZERS !! U GO GIRL !! U GO !! that's soo PAWSOME !!!

TY so MUCHERS for being such a GREAT PUPPY into Adult DAWGGIE LAND !! We LOVE IT !! (I tried to give MaryAnn a Dawggie bone for being a good "puppy" but, she BIT ME !! What DO WE DO WITH HER??? INTo the KENNEL Cage she GOES !! WOOHOOOO but, than again, she LOVES that,, she has a NUMBEr of books she's been wanting to read !)

Remember PLZ to SIGN UP For the WINTAH Challenge, and we HOPE as a DAWGGIE !! WOOHOOOOO !!

HUGS hon ! The Leadahs ! TY also for being very active,, and reporting ur time so WELL on the Break !! There are 6 teams, who are on the break, but it's the DAWGGIE TEAM who are LEADING !! we have the MOSt Dawggies out of all the teeams,,,, who are active,, so GOO DAWGGIES !! SOme of the teams even have 1 or 2 on them, but when we started this a few yrs ago,, we were doing GREAT to have even 10 who were with us,, over time,, they learned how foolish it was to NOT work with us thru the break,, those who remain with us,, over all,,, do VEry wEll those who skip the working out,, with us,, often GAIN !!!! OH MY GOODNESS !
