The Lifetime Journey

I came to sparkpeople to keep track of what I ate and also to follow my progress with my exercising. I recently had bariatric surgery. I had lost about half of what I have so far on my own but came to realize I wasn't going to be able to do the rest by myself. Keeping track of my activity and what I eat will be a lifetime routine for me. My doctor requires that we log everything we eat and maintain an exercise routine. Even with surgery this is still an hour by hour struggle to eat healthy ...

Even with surgery this is still an hour by hour struggle to eat healthy and take care of myself. This is truly a journey that I will be on for the rest of my life. At least now I know I have a good chance to the rest of it,

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving the nice comment. I'm just not ready to "go there" with regards to a bathing suit yet. But maybe next year. I have a lot of weight to lose yet, so if I can do well this year, it won't be so scarey next year come swimsuit season. Congrats on your weight loss. You look great!

Thanks much for leaving a comment on my blog today and encouraging me in getting my cardio exercise. Your story is inspirational! As I look at your teams, I see strong parenting going on in your home. I'm impressed! I've also added you as a friend, and I look forward to getting to know you better.

You are truly an inspiration!! I wish you and your family the very best!!

My daughter just finished her nursing program and is working nights at a nursing home. She loves the work, but is having a hard time with the hours. She is married and has 3 daughters at home and a son in the navy. And, continually switching from night to day is somewhat draining - but she is doing a fantastic.
