A year down and many more too go!

It's been just over a year since I started my journey, it's been a real eye opener to say the least. I've lost a total of 52 pounds and I fluctuate between 3-5 pounds from there. I went from a 16 to a 6-10 depending on how the clothes are made. I now feel comfortable enough to go into maintenance mode and be able to stay right within my range, as long as I can keep up my fitness I'll be okay. There were lots of steps, lots of life lessons, and lots of "oh my gosh!" moments it was ...

I now feel comfortable enough to go into maintenance mode and be able to stay right within my range, as long as I can keep up my fitness I'll be okay. There were lots of steps, lots of life lessons, and lots of "oh my gosh!" moments it was unbelievable but I made it through and now it feels like I've been doing it forever. Baby steps gets you through your journey, I always say that and in my case it is getting me through with a few detours but I'm getting there!
Always keep in mind that there will always be detours in life and as long as you keep trudging along one step at a time you will always make it back to your path and get you long into your journey!

My Goals:
I have increased my fitness, learned how to eat better and make wiser decisions in what I eat! Now I'm a few pounds from were I would like to be 4 to be exact! I want to get to that goal and then maintain!

My Program:
Journaling everything I eat and all of my fitness. I'm running at least 12 miles a week and would like to gradually increase that to 16. My slacking area is strength training. I used to be faithful with it and now I would rather run than do strength training. I just need to get better with everything that I do!

Personal Information:
My name is Kelly and I have a supportive husband who at times does not understand my thought process, and 2 great girls one in high school and one in elementary school. Both of them are at the complete other end of the spectrum with personalities and age! They definitly keep me on my toes!

Other Information:
I live in Colorado and love it here! I love how sometimes it's warm enough in the winter that I can run outside instead of always being inside! I work full time, take kids to sporting events (even their own). Trying to balance life can be very difficult but is definitly worth it if you can do it and do it well!

Keep Active

If you are feeling depressed and negative, it is crucial for you to keep active. The less you feel like being active, and the more you just want to wallow in self-pity, the more important it is that you get out, interact with positive people, begin projects, and keep active. Until you begin to feel a desire to be active, just fake it -- go through the motions of keeping active until you can generate the positive attitude to drive your activity. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Honor yourself

Trust yourself, believe in yourself, and always act with honor.
Forgive both others and yourself for whatever has occurred.
Anger, hatred, vengeance, shame and guilt only hurt you further. Only complete forgiveness can create a joyful future.
Be grateful for all of life.
Be thankful you were born. Be thankful for every moment, for every bite of food, for each small joy. You were owed none of this. Everything is a gift.
Choose with open mind and open heart.
Make your own decisions, and make each decision from unconditional love.
Act from your vision.
Know your life purpose, and live each day to further that purpose.
Take action.
The best intentions mean nothing without action. Take action toward your life purpose each day.
Celebrate your life.
Let your life be a song and dance of celebration. emoticon emoticon

Count your blessings. Once you realize
how valuable you are and how much you have going for you,
the smiles will return, the sun will break out,
the music will play, and you will finally
be able to move forward the life that God intended
for you with grace, strength, courage, and confidence.
Have a great day,a great weekend and a hope you have a wonderful week a head.
