Keep Moving Forward!

Update (11/8/13): I passed 100 pounds lost this week! Running is getting a little easier and more enjoyable, too. I have another 30-40 pounds left to go to a healthy weight, but I'll never be done working to stay that way.

Update (9/2/13): I have lost 83.5 pounds from my start weight in February. Even better is that I have really changed my lifestyle. I still have about 50 pounds to lose, but I know that I will continue to get healthier, stronger, and more fit.

(2/2013): I need to lose a lot of weight and get in shape to be healthy. Unfortunately, I've been down this road before. I lost over 100 pounds in 2001-2002 and was within 10 pounds of my final goal. Somehow, I managed to find all the weight that I'd lost along with a few more for good measure. I never thought I'd be here again, looking down that long road to a healthy weight.

My Goals:
My first goal (as set by SparkPeople when I joined) is to lose 50 pounds. My final goal is to lose about 130 pounds.

Currently, I want to be 240 lbs or less by April 1, 2013. :-)

My next goal is to be 220 lbs or less by Preschool Graduation at the end of May. :-)

I'm working for 210 lbs or less by June 17th. :-)

Heading for ONEderland by the 4th of July! :-)

188 by August 1, 2013. :-)

163 by December, 2013. :-)

150 by January 1, 2014. :)

135 by my birthday. :)

I'm using the trackers every day to keep myself accountable. I'm eating more fruits and vegetables and limiting grains and sugar.

I'm a mom of two boys (22 and 14) and a girl (20). I've been married to my wonderful husband for 25 years. I also teach preschool.

I don't know how it happened. I just started to get a bit off track here and there. It seemed easier and easier after that to get farther off track. Before I knew it I had gained 17 lbs. in @ 4-5 months! I just couldn't seem to get my mojo back. Like I said in my blog I had a ah-ha moment at my Grandma's funeral which helped, clothes not fitting helped, and I found out my class reunion is Oct. 4. So I don't know exactly what I needed but I seem to have found my way. Now I just have to stay there. I actually made it out this morning for the 1st time in @ 3 weeks to walk/run. I have had a tweaked knee so I haven't been out. Today I just decided I was going even if I ended up walking the whole time I was going 4 miles. I ended up going 4.5 and I was able to run 3 miles of it. emoticon The more I feel I'm doing right the more I want to do right. I am also 1 week soda free! emoticon I know when I haven't felt like running because it is to hot or raining I would think of you or one of my other Spark Friends doing it and I got myself out there. So even if you didn't know it you were a motivation for me. emoticon emoticon
