Update (11/8/13): I passed 100 pounds lost this week! Running is getting a little easier and more enjoyable, too. I have another 30-40 pounds left to go to a healthy weight, but I'll never be done working to stay that way.

Update (9/2/13): I have lost 83.5 pounds from my start weight in February. Even better is that I have really changed my lifestyle. I still have about 50 pounds to lose, but I know that I will continue to get healthier, stronger, and more fit.

(2/2013): I need to lose a lot of weight and get in shape to be healthy. Unfortunately, I've been down this road before. I lost over 100 pounds in 2001-2002 and was within 10 pounds of my final goal. Somehow, I managed to find all the weight that I'd lost along with a few more for good measure. I never thought I'd be here again, looking down that long road to a healthy weight.

My Goals:
My first goal (as set by SparkPeople when I joined) is to lose 50 pounds. My final goal is to lose about 130 pounds.

Currently, I want to be 240 lbs or less by April 1, 2013. :-)

My next goal is to be 220 lbs or less by Preschool Graduation at the end of May. :-)

I'm working for 210 lbs or less by June 17th. :-)

Heading for ONEderland by the 4th of July! :-)

150 by January 1, 2014. :)

Secret goal: Run a Half Marathon. :-)

I can't believe that I did this...I'm signed up for a full marathon in October.

I'm using the trackers every day to keep myself accountable. I'm eating more fruits and vegetables and limiting grains and sugar.

I'm a mom of two boys (25 and 17) and a girl (22). I've been married to my wonderful husband for 28 years. I also teach preschool.

    SparkPeople offers a world of potential and amazingly generous support and sharing of knowledge and experience.

    Sadly my time with our local team has not been what it was as we used to pull together lots of cool events such as walks, runs, kayaking and even contradance.

    While I'm open to attempting such events together again, I would have to see more interest on the part of others, perhaps new members such as yourself? ;-)

    In the meantime I highly recommend posting blogs on your SparkPage and questions for SparkPeople message boards to get the most from our SparkFamily!

    Beth, I wanted to tell you how much you inspire me with your athletic endeavors! Just hearing about your marathon makes me want to try to do this again. Not sure if I should pursue trying to work towards walking a 10K or half marathon again, but I can say everytime you post about an event it makes me look at it again.
