Finding my way to healthy living
It is time for me to lose the excuses. After spending my teenage years constantly active with dance, gymnastics, etc. I went to college and gained the Freshman 15lbs...although for me it was more like the Freshman 30+lbs! It is time for me to lose the excuses. After spending my teenage years constantly active with dance, gymnastics, etc. I went to college and gained the Freshman 15lbs...although for me it was more like the Freshman 30+lbs! I have been struggling with my weight ever since. In the past 4 years, I have had two beautiful little boys. They are my world. After the birth of my second son in 2011, I started a new commitment to my health & fitness. I want to be able to keep up with my family for the long haul. I had begun running. Then, as they say, 'life happens'. After having several weeks of continuing issues with my back, x-rays showed I was going to need back surgery. It was devastating. My work outs were derailed as well as my motivation. However, after several rods and screws and a much longer than expected recovery I am back with a renewed sense of purpose. It is time to lose the excuses and become the healthiest version of myself for both me and my family. I have a long way to go to reach my ultimate fitness goals. I am hoping that this Spark People community will be just what I need to stay focused and succeed!
