Welcome to my journey! I'm Kelly, I'm a 24 year old mom to a beautiful 4 year old boy! Pre-pregnancy I weighed in at 128lbs. During my entire pregnancy, I gained 40 lbs and delivered just shy of 170lbs. Within 6 months after my son was born I was able to get back down to 145lbs. I was a stay at home mom who walked everywhere with my new baby! When my son turned 1 I didn't want to be home anymore - I needed to work! I started working full-time and that's when the weight started piling back on. In 2009 I weighed in around 160lbs. By 2010 I had gone to 175lbs, and in 2011 I went over 180lbs. Alot of this is attributed to the fact that I sit at a desk all day, I have very little time to exercise, and my eating habits got worse. At my highest weight I was 193lbs.

I've reached a point in my life where I am not happy with myself. I hate how I look, I hate that I have to wear men's t-shirts to cover my stomach. I WANT to become healthy again. I WANT to lose this weight.

Motivation is difficult for me... It's very easy for me to give up and I hope by focusing on working the Sparkpeople plan again (I did Sparkpeople back in 2006 as well) I will be able to lose this extra weight that is plaguing me. I hope I am able to meet some good people, find good motivators, learn new things, and overall enjoy the process of becoming healthier.

So again... this is my journey and I welcome you to it! :)

**Update January 2013**
Well, I fell off the bandwagon. You remember that whole motivation issue? Yeah, I still have it. Current weight is 179lbs. New methods? I have a plan. I bought a FitBit to help me keep track of all my steps and calories burned. I have an exercise bike I aim to use for at least 30 minutes a day. I need to get back into strength training. I bought some weights and an exercise ball. I am motivated. Let's do this! I refuse to spend another summer sweaty and uncomfortable because I feel so fat! Bring on the real shorts and cute shirts!!

My Goals:
I like to have mini goals. I firmly believe having one huge goal of "I need to lose 60lbs" is more hurtful than helpful. So, I will say my ultimate goal weight is 130lbs. My mini goals go in 10lbs increments:

1. Get under 180 *COMPLETED MAY 11th!!*
2. Get under 170
2. Get under 160
3. Get under 150
4. Get under 140
5. 130lbs!

My Program:
Dieting is difficult. Food is expensive, and I am the mother of a child who needs to eat a high-caloric diet for weight gain. Can you see how this poses a problem for me? I am going to do my best to eat healthy. I'm not big on having "restricted" foods that I can't touch. Rather I'd like to limit bad foods.

I plan on exercising as much as I can fit into my schedule. I walk during the day on breaks and at home I will be trying to do more as well.
