On my way to a healthy lifestyle!

Hi! My name is Amanda and I am 29 yrs old. I have been over weight for about 10 years now and I am tired of making excuses for weight gain. I am only 5"5 and all the weight seems to rest in my hips and butt. Grr! I have been a type 1 diabetic for 24 years now and in the last couple of years I have gotten really good control of my BG levels which is awesome! I am still working on my fitness motivation though :(

I have been a member of sparkpeople for a couple of years now and I love it. It's very motivating and all the gadgets on here make a healthy lifestyle easy to control.

I quit drinking diet soda 8 years ago and since then have seen a dramatic weight loss. Currently I am trying to learn to love healthy foods. I want to love what I eat instead of forcing myself to eat things I don't enjoy!

I am hoping to first and foremost do what it takes to lead a healthy life and stay active. Following that my weight loss goal is to be 130 lbs.

good for you :P today i didn't job im getting sick so i decided starting tmrw i'll do exercises inside until my sore throat is gone :)..wish me luck
