A quest to learn how to have a healthy, normal relationship with food (and thus the end of dieting)

I've been obese my whole life and I am sick of it! My inspiration for losing weight is:

1) Clothes shopping. I want to be able to buy whatever I want! And I want some jeans that fit my 6' body! and since I sew clothes I'd like more selection in pattern sizes.

2) I am not living my life, and it is largely related to my size

3) I want to adopt older children through foster care in 5+ years. You need to be healthy. i want to have an active healthy lifestyle ...

I have been working hard over the last several years to permenantly change habits for the good, both food realated and non-food related. I am proudest of overcoming my extreme pickyness (love to try things now!), learning to love water, learning to cook decently, learning to manage my anxiety disorder, overcoming depression and ending an eating disorder (binge eating disorder) and I especially loved learning to love my body and finding my style to express myself!!

Long Term Goals
-to run a 5k race
-to shop in a regular sized clothing store
-to feel nothing when walking up stairs
-to run for buses with ease
-to join a badminton club and actually play the whole time
-to race in a rowing or dragonboat race

My Program:
Eating:
*learning to develop a normal, healthy relationship with food
*learning to listen to my body
*I eat a variety of the 4 food groups as well as regular treats
*I eat mostly non-processed foods because they taste better, are better for you, and are more affordable
*learning to incorporate exercise in my routine

We're on the same team for the spring 300 lbs + team challenge. I'm so excited to get started with everything and this extra boost in motivation is going to be GREAT!
