I've been with SparkPeople snice 2013. i'm a 62 y/o married woman working towards losing weight and adapting a more healthy lifestyle. 28 months later and l'm back to tracking again and startING to walk daily again. I did'not gain back the weight I lost but I still want to lose more. I will keep trekking on.

My Goals:
I recently had to have a cardiac pacemaker/defibrillator implanted. the doctor suggested that i lose weight and exercise to build up my strength. This is such a wonderful place to keep track of my efforts

My Program:
I'm trying to meet my goals by making better and healthier choices for food intake. I am also attending water aerobic sessions three times a week. Also doing some weight training to try and build up strength

Personal Information:
I am from Tennessee origionally but moved every two years when i was a child since my father was in the Navy.

Other Information:
Hobbies: rubber stamping and scrapbooking. I would love to hear from others who share this interest.

    Lemon water has become a staple for me. It is the first thing I put into my body in the morning and I drink it throughout the entire day. It is super important to stay hydrated. Drinking lemon water feels a little more luxurious that regular water, and on top of that it has numerous health benefits!

    emoticon 1. It relieves allergy symptoms. When those mild pollen allergies arrive during spring and summer months, lemon water does the trick! It takes the edge off and can help clear up eyes or an itchy throat.

    "Only One Pound" Poem

    Hello, do you know me?

    If you don't, you should. I'm a pound of fat,

    And I'm the HAPPIEST pound of fat that you would ever want to meet.

    Want to know why?

    It's because no one ever wants to lose me;

    I'm ONLY ONE POUND, just a pound!

    Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds, or fifteen pounds, but never only one.

    So I just stick around and happily keep you fat.

    Then I add to myself, ever so slyly, so that you never seem to notice it.

    That is, until I've grown to ten, twenty, thirty or even more pounds in weight.

    Yes, it's fun being ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT, left to do as I please.

    So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying, "Oh, I only lost one pound."

    (As if that were such a terrible thing.)

    For you see, if you do this, you'll encourage others to keep me around because they'll think I'm not worth losing.

    And, I love being around you - your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you.
