Thanks for your kind comments on my HM blog. I more than understand your comment on 5k's being hard. I'm actually enjoying the longer distances because I can get into more of a groove. 5K's are starting to feel more like sprints! Anyway, hoping to set a new PR at my next 5K race in 3 weeks. Going to work extra hard on strong finishes in the coming weeks.

Thank you for you comment on my status. Completing the MC 17.75K race allows you to register for the Marine Corps Marathon without going through the lottery, so spots are in high demand. I was logged in to the registration site with all my info set to auto-fill the forms. Within a few seconds of registration opening I was sending my info. I guess a lot of other people use the same strategy, because it took a couple minutes to send and by that time, registration was closed. Last year someone who had a health problem transferred her spot in the MCM to me. It was a great race and I want to do it again. Now I'll take my chances with the lottery, but I understand they are not good.

Sorry the cold weather is hampering your training. I had to delay my swim day until today, it has been too cold before. So, I rode the bike instead on my swim day, was cold but not too cold. It must be terrible up north with the snow and cold weather, especially when you have training to do. I guess I'm spoiled. Keep up the good work!
