re: How can I get 250 fitness minutes in one day? I can't. At least, I can't get 250 minutes of what *I* consider fitness. However, I have Garmin Connect linked to SP, and apparently it counts minutes from the Vivofit that I don't consider fitness minutes. (If you care, I spent about 67 minutes running yesterday; but I don't focus much on elapsed time running.)
I originally linked Garmin Connect to pick up the step counts from the Vivofit; it has turned out that they are transmitted somewhat erratically, and not always in the correct day. So I basically ignore fitness minutes and step counts on SP, because that's no longer useful information to me. From someone else's perspective, I could be seen to be artificially inflating my fitness mintues; but that's not what I'm focused on.
I'm more focused on miles run. I track that through Garmin, but Garmin sends a garbage number estimated from step counts including walking to SP . . . so I end up with basically no useful fitness data on SP. And I get a lot of people liking feed items describing garbage data.
*shrug* There is no perfect system. I use pieces of SparkPeople, and find some of those pieces useful. 323 days ago
Thanks for the goodie! I am shoe shopping. Last year I tried several brands and have come to realize I really prefer Brooks so plan on getting a new pair in the next couple of weeks. Just in time to work them in alittle before the first 5K in spring. 348 days ago
