Spring Training 2016

Spring 2016 5% Challenge I started sparking in 2013 and lost almost 50 pounds the first year and a half...but it is slowly (or not-so-slowly) creeping back up. I need to SPARK!

My Goals:
I want to lose the weight I have re-gained over the past two years...lose MORE to get to "onederland"...feel better and stronger physcially and mentally...gain strength,stamina and flexibility...and be a more positive, happy, calm, and grateful person.

My Program:
Diet Plan for the 5% Spring Challenge:
I will eat breakfast, and something healthy every 3-4 hours. I will limit salt-bad fats-and sugars. I will take special care to LIMIT SALT. I will drink A LOT of water. I will write down everything I eat.

Fitness Plan for 5% Spring Challenge:
I will GET UP and MOVE every 30-60 minutes at work. I will walk for 30 minutes each day and stretch for 20 minutes each evening. I will LOOK for opportunities to move, be active, stretch and climb stairs.

Personal Information:
I am 56. I am married (no children). I have an interesting and challenging job as a minister with "odd" hours. Several members of my family are dealing with serious health issues. I want to be my best for the people in my life.

Other Information:
dI KNOW that tracking, accountability, honesty, discipline, hard work make all the difference.

Thank you for stopping by my blog (HELP!) and offering your support and ideas. It is greatly appreciated.

I have the SparkPeople app and think I will be sure to use it at least three times a day and track my food throughout the day instead of at the end, when nothing can be done to change things. It will also help me determine how much exercise I will need to counter all the high-caloric but yummy foods. :)

I have one good habit, at least. I do not drink soft drinks, sweet teas or anything other than water. I may have an alcoholic beverage or two (we do love to go to the moonshine distilleries) but as a general rule I only ever drink water. :)
