Marilyn - I purchased a Garmin Forerunner 10 because I wanted a watch that did intervals and i thought I saw where it would vibrate for the change in intervals (it doesn't) but in making this mistake I found that I love that it has the GPS and will upload the route and mile markers with time to the site. I really enjoyed this feature. I also found that sometime it takes a long time to get the GPS locked and by then I'm all 10 minutes into the walk. So I deided to go a little (?) more expensive and bought the vivowatch for my birhtday. I used it today for the 1st time. I've not uploaded the results to the site but I wanted to tell you that I am findng the watches easier to use than the vivosmart.

Here is a little tip for those gnats. Try pinning a sheet of scented fabric softener to your hat when you work outside. They seem to not like it. I put one on my hat and another on my shirt. If nothing else you will be very soft after working outside! Hugs!!

Hey Marilyn,

Hope this finds you doing well. I have just the basic model of Fitbit. I find it really reliable but only gives the time, # of steps for the day, and distance. Today I did 2.39 miles, 6,589 steps. I think its helpful but no where near what I would like to have. Just knowing how many calories would be more motivating for me. I have a limited budget so was glad to get this when I did. It does help but is very limited. Someday I hope to move up to the Garmin like yours. At any rate, I am hanging in there and moving the old body anyway.
