Librarian loses 100 pounds for 50th birthday

January 2014--So, um, I DIDN'T lose 100 lbs before my 50th birthday. In fact, in the last 6 months, I've undone the work of the previous 9 months. On the bright side, I haven't regained all the weight I lost. Almost, but not quite. The task at hand is to lose 100 lbs to recognize and honor the passage of my 50th birthday. Let the games begin!
March 2013--9 months and 68 pounds to go
January 2013--12 months and 75 pounds to go
September 2012--In the last two years my BP has ...

September 2012--In the last two years my BP has risen, so I'm inspired to exercise and to lose weight. My 50th birthday is December 20, 2013. Fifteen months is enough time to make slow steady progress on losing 100 pounds. I just have to pay attention and keep on keepin' on.

Good morning, fellow starfish (and fellow librarian - that was my first career) I`m not looking forward to weigh in day tomorrow - so far the 5% challenge has been a bust, but - no surprise as I`m not really working at it. Appreciate your encouraging post on my page - an excellent wake up call!
