One step at a time

I'm Mary and I'm here to get healthy and strong and to lose weight. Today 12/18/14 I'm starting fresh. I've been on and off this bandwagon for years. This time I mean to make it stick. I keep finding excuses to fall off and then I gain back everything I've lost.

I'm challenged in this because I have moderate to severe debilitating arthritis in my hips and lower back. Because of years of ignoring the pain or walking through the pain I have chronic back pain and problems. I am seeing a regular doctor and a pain management specialist who are supposed to be helping me. I also scheduled an appointment with a nutritionist next week. I'm doing what I need to do to address these issues and try to get healthy.

I have a lot of weight to lose and this is going to be a journey. I think with some accountability I might be able to stick it out this time.

My Goals:
Hit my goal weight.

Reduce my BMI to healthy number.

Learn to eat healthy.

Cross my legs.

Run up the stairs.

Walk on a trail.

Climb a hill without having to stop and rest.

Be noticed for something other than my size.



My Program:
I'm logging what I eat to make sure I'm getting the right ratio etc. I'm eating lots of vegetables and fruits every day. I'm avoiding processed foods as much as possible. I'm cutting fast food out completely. I'm fixing my breakfast, lunch and dinner every day so I'm not tempted to stop on the way home or on the way to work.





Personal Information:
I'm from Missouri and I'm 50 years old. I have a 28 year old daughter who is fit, healthy and strong living in New York. I re-started my lifestyle change on December 18, 2014

Remember today you are worth the love you have for others.
Today you will fight the good fight.
Today you will put yourself on the top of your list! by eva herzYou will honor yourself, by fighting your demons.

Feed yourself the love that you have for God and others, to yourself.
Nourish your soul with foods that make you want to be happy.
Don't put yourself, on the bottom of your list.
Represent what it is you give out to others.
And stand strong in the fact that you are loved.
Don't see the bottle half empty,
For it is half full!

Oh no - wrong. It doesn't seem silly at all. No one can determine the length of grief. Everyone's is different and everyone has a different relationship with that person. Only you know when you feel more at peace, no one else. It takes as long as it takes.
