Losers are Winners

My name is MaryAnn and I want to win at the losing game. I'm 55 and really want to lose 50 lbs. I'm married and have a Black devil dog named Kayla. My husband is a sport nut. Does all kinds of exciting sports. Me, not so much. Hopefully someday. I really want to be able to do things with ease and not carry around all this excess baggage on my person.

The number on the scale does not define you. The love in your heart, does.

Hi Hon. thanks for asking about my back. It's a bit of a bad one this time - not quite as bad as the one which led me to writing that funny blog, but not far off. It's the first 'attack' since then and I know that this time I have to spend a lot of time in bed in the acute phase. Each time I get up, as I do make sure I move several times a day, I make things worse by either doing too much (like cooking tonights meal) or by sitting, as opposed to lying in bed with the leccy blanket nice and warm. I'll be fine. I've had 35 years of this, I know my back intimately! I'm not happy with myself - in fact, I'm furious - my fitness has gone a bit adrift since the little op on my back in November, followed by Christmas and then at the beginning of January, a sudden foot problem where for a full week I couldn't put my foot on the ground! (Don't even ask me how that happened. I haven't a clue - suddenly, a swollen foot and unable to walk, just hop!)

Last week I sensed that my core had weakened due to not enough continued core work (cardio and strength, but not enough core). Roger has already told our PT that I want to up the core work once I'm up and running again. I get very frustrated when things like this interrupt my continuity. Sigh.

How are you doing? We need to get our dedication and vigilance going less erratically, methinks. That's what happens to Twinnies, n'est-ce pas?

Must dash - gotta get my tracking and points done before the witching hour over here!

Talk soon!

You Canadians do not have a group of political representatives, like for example the US Senate. The Canadian parliament would not, as the Senate did, get together and vote that climate change is completely natural and unaffected by man's activities.

As Al Gore famously once said, the truth is mighty inconvenient. And expensive. So let's put our collective heads in the sand and play ostrich. If we ignore the plain facts, they are not true and will not cost us any money.

Sheesh!
