I am trying to make the best of each day the Lord has given me. My body is the temple of the Lord, and therefore it is my duty to keep myself healthy and more able to do the things He commands me to do. I want to be able to live a long healthy life to be able to enjoy by family and to enjoy doing things with my wonderful grandchildren.
The person who really wants to do something finds a way; the other person finds an excuse.

My Goals:
My goal is to have a healthy lifestyle that will help me not only get to and maintain a healthy weight, but to feel better and be able to be more active as I get older. I want to ge able to enjoy my grandchildren for many years to come.

My Program:
1. Participate in the Winter 5% Challenge.
2. I am tracking my food each day .
3. Pilates and walking.
4. I try to walk 10,000 steps each day.
5. I focus more on how much better I feel than how much I have lost.
6. Working to add muscle and tone my arms.
7. Diet will be eating in moderation and tracking to make sure calories are in range.
8. Get 8 glasses water daily.

Personal Information:
I live on the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee. I have 6 grandchildren and 7 step grandchildren. I enjoy reading, crocheting, cooking, and gardening, and being with family. I enjoy living where we can enjoy the 4 seasons and the different beauties each one brings. I live on a small farm in a very rural area. We have some angus cows, some goats, and a doberman who thinks she is the boss. I am a retired school teacher having taught kindergarten the last several years.

    Hello Busy Bee sorry late with my posting but daughter was in hospital last week so had a hectic week. I like oatmeal with blueberries, or spinach cheese omelet (1 egg and 1 or 2 egg whites) spinach sautéed in olive oil and about 1/2 once of spinach with 1 slice of wheat toast and fruit. I don't do cereal much anymore. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Hi busy bee! Sorry I haven't been about too much lately! It has been hectic. I have been doing meal replacement shakes with fruit added or on the side in an attempt to keep things routine and easy. It isn't too bad. Not as good as my favorite fresh over easy eggs with grilled sourdough bread, but... :)

    Good afternoon, Busy Bee. I don't really have a go-to breakfast. It may be a fruit and yogurt smoothie, a piece of whole wheat toast with peanut butter, fresh fruit with yogurt, or occasionally scrambled eggs. I really wish I liked oatmeal because it is so good for a person, but I can't get past the texture of it. What do you eat for breakfast?
