I am trying to make the best of each day the Lord has given me. My body is the temple of the Lord, and therefore it is my duty to keep myself healthy and more able to do the things He commands me to do. I want to be able to live a long healthy life to be able to enjoy by family and to enjoy doing things with my wonderful grandchildren.
The person who really wants to do something finds a way; the other person finds an excuse.

My Goals:
My goal is to have a healthy lifestyle that will help me not only get to and maintain a healthy weight, but to feel better and be able to be more active as I get older. I want to ge able to enjoy my grandchildren for many years to come.

My Program:
1. Participate in the Fall 5% Challenge.
2. I am tracking my food each day .
3. Pilates and walking.
4. I try to walk 10,000 steps each day.
5. I focus more on how much better I feel than how much I have lost.
6. Working to add muscle and tone my arms.

Personal Information:
I live on the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee. I have 6 grandchildren and 7 step grandchildren. I enjoy reading, crocheting, cooking, and gardening, and being with family. I enjoy living where we can enjoy the 4 seasons and the different beauties each one brings. I live on a small farm in a very rural area. We have some angus cows, some goats, and a doberman who thinks she is the boss. I am a retired school teacher having taught kindergarten the last several years.

    Congratulations on your weight loss. Don't be dishearten with the amount of 2.2 (that the weight of our bag of sugar!) and a good start emoticon
    I don't have anything that I am proud off. I had my reality check last Friday when I tried on a dress for our Xmas party which I had in my wardrobe emoticon I need to make a better plan for December and stick with it.

    Did better with my weight efforts this season, but very discouraged right now. Need a new plan which I'll work on in December. The one thing I do feel good about is keeping my dishes pretty much caught up daily for 8 weeks. It was so nice to have clean dishes and an uncluttered work space! Hope to keep this up.

    Congratulations on a weight loss even if as much as you'd have like. You're moving in the right direction and learning and that's great!

    Hi there - something that I feel good about in this challenge - is that I have managed to keep posting on sparkpeople as well as taking part in the cluster challenge during a stressful period of time at home. Hope all is well with you and yours emoticon emoticon
