My name is Mary ,I lost 95lbs I feel great ,i wrote a cook book with my favorite foods to eat Its a Bible Cook Book ,I pray each day for Wisdom ,Strength and the will power to succeed,the book is about my daily journey .it encourages me to see where i was and where i am at now.I take each day at a time ,Each Day Counts ,I got 50lbs to go to my goal ,Having fun doing it.
My goal is to be healthier and to lose weight.I want to be able to keep up with my kids and fit my cool clothes again.My doctor says I have to lose weight ,my cholesterol is too high.I am now scared,But I wont give up,I want to keep losing weight.
I am going to start by exercising each day and eating healthy,I walk now everyday.and I do situps
I am going to get back on my tredmill

Hi Mary and welcome to Spark People where you will find lots of information and tons of support and encouragement from all our members. You will find that we also have fun along the way. Drink your 8-8oz glasses of water a day, watch your portion control and walk. Use your fitness and nutrition tracker daily. These tips will definitely help in lowering your numbers. Don't expect miracles right away...this is a lifestyle change not a diet. You will be much healthier in the long run. Post any concerns, comments or questions you may have and someone will respond quickly.
Start each day with a positive thought for the day. Reading and reflecting on a inspirational thought or message before you start your day can put you in a positive frame of mind.
Your thoughts determine whether you have a good day or a bad day. Fill your mind with positive ideas, suggestions, and thoughts. You will find it will change your attitude and changing your attitude can change your life.
Sometimes just reading an inspirational quote or a short paragraph help one see the positive in a situation. Sometimes as your day progresses you just need to take a break…Take a mental break and read or think about a message of inspiration.
Never underestimate your power to change and improve! You are a good person, with wonderful qualities, and you can reach your goals!

Welcome to SparkPeople Mary. I am so glad that you found us. There is a lot of information here and the best tools to help you reach your goals.
I have been on SparkPeople since April 2009 and I have lost a total of 30 pounds since I have been watching what I eat. I track my food every day (good and bad) and I track my exercise. You can check out my SparkPage and see my fitness and food tracking. I put it all out there for everyone to see – the good, the bad and the ugly. It helps keep me honest! Are there days when I eat stuff that I know I shouldn’t – of course. This is a life long journey, one with many paths to take. I just have to keep making the right choices and when I don’t, I get back on the right path and don’t look back.
The encouragement and motivation I get from my Spark friends is amazing. They are always there to help me through tough times and bring a smile to my face. I have found that if I post something that is bothering me, within an hour someone will respond back and make sure everything is alright and offer encouragement.
